Alright everyone what am I doing wrong? I feel like any time I fold down or swing the sun visor to block the side window I smack the rear view mirror with the visor.
Anyone else experience this problem or am I just a moron?
Finished, and definitely worth working through any issues to have this work completed. Its a completely different feel. Move the steering wheel, and it reacts no more steering play. No notchy steering feel here.
Overall dealer made up for their original error (telling me it was completed when...
Today is the day (?), box AND bolts are at the dealer along with the gladiator.
Driving the loaner home this morning, new Cherokee, I realized just how much my brain is auto correcting the gladiator. Wow.
I was not mean or aggressive. If the portion of the bulletin performed had worked I wouldn't have even checked. The fact the highway play was still there is why I took a look. Then seeing they only drove it 1 mile to "check" (with the dealer being more than a mile from anywhere you could sustain...
I pointed out the first step was to replace the steering gear. Since then, there has been a back track. Being told they ordered the part, and completed the remainder of the bulletin to be safe. Part is on a 30 day back order.
Asked why they didn't inform me this at the time, so we could...
Just received additional information from the dealership. Technician denied the work?
Still have part number 49AE installed, and they are telling me the bulletin has been performed. Something is not right.
Picked the jeep up this morning, and they did not replace the part. It is still the aluminum part. There did seem to be a difference around town with just the software, but did not have a chance to get on the highway.
Knew it had to be too good to be true. I will see if the software effort was...
Mine went in this morning, they just left a message saying it was completed.
Wondering if they just did the software portion and didn't replace the box/bolts? Could the dealership experience really be this successful after hearing all these horror stories?
Agreed... Also left a message with the dealer. They called me back and said bring it in next Wednesday and the service bulletin will be done.
Fingers crossed parts are in and they do the bulletin.
I traded in an 18 Grand Cherokee for my Gladiator... Thing was an electrical nightmare. I would have the entire dash flash all sorts of lights at me, would drop out the entire 8.4" screen. It was back at the dealer several times, and was returned only being reset.
I even brought in a video of...
Painted the last of the silver accents today. Paint is actually a flat metallic that can't be seen in the picture. Like all projects it leads to another... Have to do something about the headlights. They stand out way too much.
Still in progress. Waiting to put the rubicon take offs and 3/4 front spacer on. Still need to find time to take the grill apart and change the silver to match the side badges.
Down the road wider tires. Don't mind the tire height just looks wrong proportionally being so skinny. Debating rock...
Agree and when latching the back its completely hit or miss. Sometimes it locks in with ease and sometimes I have kind of pull up on the outer rail and force it in. There is a very good seal at the tailgate end, almost to the point its hard to close at times. Still haven't been exposed to rain...
Sorry it took a while to get this up here. Also th latch seems to be working much better (closes easier) after being secured shut for a few days. Have yet to encounter rain.
