I don’t really care if they are concerned! I gave up on aluminum canopies a long time ago, and I have a TIG welder in the shop.

The biggest problem with aluminum is, it work hardens over time and cracks. Hauling a load on an aluminum canopy, will lead to repairs down the road…It is light and easily repaired. Eventually though - aluminum’s too brittle…

Nice! I have a similar story, bought a 23 JTRD in Washington St. in Dec of 23. I think I figured mine was 18% off MSRP. Drove it back up to Alaska in May of 24. It also is Sarge Green and is currently undergoing a diet program!

My RTT has two base bars running parallel to the smartcap channels, but well inboard. The crossbars are needed to make the attachment perpendicular to the RTT base bars. You would need a RTT that mounted perpendicular to the smartcap channels to have any chance of attaching to the vertical bolts...

Costco has the Igloo fridge/freezer. I bought one a little over a hear ago…very good price for a big unit! I also have a dometic that is 1/2 the size, for weekenders. The igloo has worked flawlessly and doesn’t draw much…Will run on the JTRD’s 400w inverter when driving - solar gen when parked

So with the diesel, you are attaching the aux battery cables to the main battery and not pulling any fuses. Unless I missed something?

Too bad you didn’t remove the EGR and put a plate over the hole.

Removed Aux bat, installed larger main bat. Installed Autostop Eliminater. All is good… This method should be listed on survey

You still need some tailgate seals with the Smartcap…the dust will creep in from the rear about 6” or so. Still a pretty good system though.
