Yes, it's increased. I drove yesterday with just the rack installed without the box, and the wind had increased. I'm not sure it's worse with the box, than with just the rack. I need more time to drive and listen to it, since it was a snowy mess on my drive this morning.

Pretty happy with this setup. Softopper, JCR Overland Rack, Rightline Gear SUV tent, Airbedz air mattress. Takes a little longer to set up than a rooftop tent, usually about 20 minutes to set it all up but don’t have the weight of rooftop tent, and not affected by wind under the softopper...

Great thread! Just wondering how comfortable the mattress is, since it is pretty thin. Any mods (adding memory foam, etc.) that you are doing? Also, bedding is stored below I assume? Thanks, in advance.
