I chose the Mojave for similar reasons as yours. I do not want an aftermarket lift, and the stock Mojave looks great as is. I've used the locker 1 legitimate time, rock crawling is not my thing. I put 6,000 miles in a year, similar 2nd vehicle situation to yours. It handles nicely on the road...
I think it was my 1984 Jeep J10 pickup (or some other clunker in the past) that had a toggle switch to turn on or off cruise. In that case you could leave the switch on. I have not experienced a modern car that leaves cruise on when you kill the engine.
I could not find my JT with a soft top, it came with a black hard top. I wanted the soft top because it is the family convertible, all seats get a view, and its easy to open and close. We can cruise at highway speeds and the top does not flop around (open or closed). I found the freedom tops...
I paid $900 for mine, new in box, about 4 months ago. They had the dual top option, did not want it taking up space, and listed at $1,200 (maybe even $1,500 originally). The listing had 1 grainy picture of the box, but it was legit. I offered $1,000 and they accepted. When we could not work out...
We tow our ~4,000lb RV with our Mojave. I believe the factory tow package is one of the best value packages available. It is ready to tow, installed right, quality parts, and zero effort from you after market. It is a no brainer to me to include the factory tow package.
I insisted on the...
I’ll consider it, but my preference is still for someone to pick up. I’ll be in Round Rock soon, but can’t tie this thing on the roof of the family Subaru.
We had another hard rain. The thicker gasket seemed to help some, but there is still some water getting in. Oh well. It’s “mostly” dry.? Keep your sensitive stuff in the middle of the bed, or keep it in dry boxes.
I have tried out the soft top for several weeks now and plan to keep it on year round, so I don't need this hard top laying around anymore.
I am open to reasonable offers.
Interesting, glad it was in the box as it came in handy. Its much higher quality than the thicker gasket for the front bulkhead seal. When I removed the bed cover to install the 2nd gasket, I found that the thicker bulkhead gasket was not adhering good to the spray in bed liner. I doubt it will...
I used the “extra” gasket material that was in the box. It ripped perfectly down the middle, so each piece was about 3/8” wide, 3/16” thick, and over 5’ long. The factory gasket under the side rails is about 1/16” thick, which wasn’t enough to keep mine dry.
Good luck with the install, hope it...
When I removed the rails, I had to pull/pry hard on the front rubber screw mounts that rely on screw/friction at the front headwall. The prying bent the aluminum brackets at the front, similar to your picture. I just bent them back into place. They aren’t that strong to begin with, they more...
I took the bed cover off and applied the extra gasket material over the top of existing gasket material. The extra gasket in the box needs to be ripped in half lengthwise, which is easily done, and there was plenty. Re-installing the rails was a pain because the gaskets are now so thick. It went...
We had our first heavy rain today since I installed the bed cover. It leaks at the side rails. There was some extra gasket material in the box but I did not see in the instructions where it went. I will have to take the cover off and add the gasket material under the side rails.
Selling a textured black hard top. I took this off my 2021 Gladiator at 600 miles in August 2021. We installed a soft top and do not want to store this long term. This is like new. No scratches or issues. Ready to install. All OEM parts. You will need to pick up near College Station, TX.
$2,400...
I have a like-new black hard top I am about to list. I already bought a soft top. I am in College Station, so we are very far apart. The only trip I have coming up soon is to Round Rock, TX. PM me if you are interested. I'll be at Big Bend in February, but hoping to have it gone well before then.
Yep, there are some plastic parts on this bed cover that will probably not hold up. I rolled mine shut today, and a plastic end piece on the cover popped off. It snapped right back on, but seems loose and will probably fly off some day. Not that it is very tight to begin with, but if this part...
