Did this today. I'd asked the LineX shop to plug the holes...they did not. So it took me around 3.5 hours including prep and cleanup and making my own thread chaser bolt. Most of that time was cleaning up the holes. I carefully drilled the bedliner out of the openings of the holes and then...
Insane. No thanks. I’ll do a blower on the JT and keep my manual and my bank account. I’ve got something lighter with nearly 700hp to get my speed fix.
Wife gave me the trail rail kit for Christmas. I don't have the bed LineX’d yet...should I wait to install the rails until I do that or is it pretty easy to take them off for the LineX and then reinstall (especially the nutserts?)?
Getting 16.X mostly highway and 17.0-17.2 all highway. Max speed 74mph (everyone blowing my doors off can’t go much slower). Rubi manual totally stock. I’m no stranger to driving for mpgs. Don’t see how on earth the EPA 16/23 ratings are legit. Unless it is the optional MT tires? I’m guessing...
I really don’t understand the gearing in this thing. I thought the JK 6spd was acceptable, would’ve preferred that in the JT. 5th and 6th are way too tall. I get why 1st is so short I can accept that. The 2-3 drop is a bit wide. Haven’t had a manual vehicle where I had to down shift on the...
I checked cold pressures this morning. 39,39 fr and 39,36 rear. Not enough to matter I would think but I got them all to 37. Maybe a slight improvement but overall still constantly correcting the steering on the highway. Maybe the new boxes are hit or miss or maybe there is an alignment issue...
Just took delivery of my new 2021 Rubi (totally stock). Built early this month (December). Steering is all over the place. Going to check my tire pressures tommorow. I crawled under and I think the steering box is painted black. I had a 2018 JK and I don’t remember it darting all over the place...
I stalled leaving the dealer (embarrassing) and probably 4-5 more times after that within 48 hours. I’ve owned over 50 manual transmission vehicles. This one is tricky feeling. Doesn’t help that the engine is so quiet. This is trickier on take up than the twin disk 750hp capacity unit in my...
Picked mine up today. 11/11 order date. Price as promised. Didn’t even have to go through the extended finance office warranty offer process. Just in and out in about 1 hour. Trade value was about 2% less than than the KBB average. Stronger than I thought I’d get so I took it.
How much time did y’all see between released for shipment and when it got to Gupton? Is the sticker generated once it is on transport or just when it finishes production?
Lots of buzz on various automotive blogs the last few years. “Tornado” or global medium engine T6 platform, some possible patent stuff but it sounds like there is no new info lately.
Think the long rumored FCA turbo inline 6 will replace the pentastar? That would absolutely complete the truck. I will just be pretty upset after buying mine and then it comes out. But part of me thinks there is no way they will sell it with a manual when the Bronco doesn’t offer the ecoboost V6...
Jeep Chat still saying " Thank you so much for holding. I am showing all of the materials needed to start the build process have been received. The vehicle should be entering the build process shortly. " with dealer saying 12/12 ship ETA. You'd figure they would get more aligned with 12/12 being...
General rule (not engine specific) is 10psi per 1000 RPM. Cold starts will have high pressure. Idle once warm will have lower pressure and when fully warm and revving you should see something like the general rule where pressure builds as the revs increase.
Hmm...I chatted with FCA today and they are saying scheduled for production but no ETA. So on one hand I have a ship date from Gupton but then Jeep themselves is saying scheduled but no ETA.
