You're modifying steering parts and don't have a torque wrench? Please do everyone on the road a favor and go get one and torque this right before something REALLY BAD happens.
After reading through 9 pages of this thread, the question I have is: How well does a Rubicon tow? So if putting in the Rubi shocks and springs in a JT Sport S (no max tow) might raise it up a bit, does the ass end squat more or less with the Rubi take-offs? I'm assuming less squat and more...
That's what I did, spent $150 on craigslist and put them on, makes a world of difference in looks, well worth the money and protection should I need it
So, taking his advice, I went to Lowes and in the plumbing section, I purchased this (pic) ... there are two thin and two thicker, put the thinner one on first, then the thicker like @JWest said ... fits perfect and again, he's a genius !!
Just found water behind my seat yesterday, didn't see anything on the window, just in the tray behind the seat ... brand new vehicle and it's nothing but wind noise and leaks ... not happy at all with this $50k purchase.
Thanks, just making sure I didn't screw something up, looks like there another ring, slightly bigger at the very backside that is hitting ... It's tight and clicked in so I think I'll just leave it as well. Time will tell !! Thanks again.
The round mount that says "Trailer Brakes", does it sit flush ?? I just did this install tonight and it sits a little off the dash. It clicked in and is tight, but just off the dash a little
Well, I just pulled the trigger on a leftover 2019 Opus ... picked up the model with the expandable tubes versus the air inflation, less electronics to break/leak. Take delivery on Friday, now to order the brake controller and install that this week !!
$35k ?? Holy cow, I talked with a salesman today, and for fully loaded, I can get it for $27,700 ... still a lot of coin and still have to figure if it's really worth it and will be used enough. On a good note, the wife is all for it :)
i'm looking at the Opus-4 as well ... there's a few for sale here in DFW, but pricey at $29k. Saw the Black Series at a local RV show this past weekend, and although really nice, don't compare to the fit and finish of the Opus
And that's my dilemma as I do tow a boat. Having built a JK, TJ and a LJ in the past, there's definitely more needed as you guys have said, I was just looking to expand from the current market. My last JK was an all RK build and it was pretty capable, had Bilstein 5100's and wasn't a fan...
Realizing it's half spacer and half spring kit, bit it looks like they're developing more for the JT as we speak, might be good to get into their gear now and expand as it becomes available. They're big in the overland arena but seem.to be fairly new to Jeeps
