4:56 seems to be what a lot of people run on these.
Really in my opinion, 4:10 would probably prefect for how you use your rig and your current tire size.
Also a lot of people consider 4:10 to be a lot stronger gear set due to the sizes.
I don’t even care about the power, just give us an engine that can make it past 150k miles. The 4.0 was a legend and the 3.7 did ok. The 3.6 is a metallurgical nightmare.
I really wish after all of these years, they would finally fix the issues with the 3.6.
Beat of luck to you. Warranty service for a engine replacement usually does take a bit of time.
I’m torn on the return.
If you can say for sure that it is not functional, then you should definitely get something back. But if it works as intended, they have already gone above and beyond. They really shouldn’t have to refund money if the reason is that you don’t like the sound.
especially...
If Toyota made a 4.7l GX470, 4Runner, or Tacoma with locked Dana 44s that could easily fit 37s I would run to trade in my Gladiator.
Or if Jeep would put in a reasonable price V8 in the Gladiator, I would trade in immediately.
The Gladiator is perfect for me except the 3.6l. I trust the 3.6l...
Not sure that you read what he suggested. He was suggesting that OP contacts AMW for a cheap pulled 3.6l. AMW usually has them around and they sell them for a fair price.
I hope the next gen Gladiator has a 1.3L rotary engine. I want Jeep to up the tow rating so I can pull a 40’ 5th wheel camper with my brick shaped off-road vehicle.
