  1. Heat comes on while in AC mode

Just got back from a 2000-mile road trip; first road trip since getting Gladiator in July. AC in use the whole time. I was driving, wife in passenger seat. Every so often she would complain that a "blast of hot air" would come in from the floor vents. I did not experience that on my side...
  2. 2021 Jeep Gladiator Build & Price is UP

I don't know, but I would imagine that is just an incentive to get you to upgrade to leather.
  3. 2021 Jeep Gladiator Build & Price is UP

Yes, for some reason (probably torque rating) the diesel requires a different trans.
  4. Transfer case keeps popping out of 4 Low?

The 4x4 vehicles I have had prior to this Jeep had electric shift transfer case. You just flipped a switch on the dash. If it wasn't fully engaged the light would blink at you; occasionally I would have to switch it back and try again to get full engagement. I really like that the Jeep T-case...
  5. Transfer case keeps popping out of 4 Low?

Also the manual says not to pause in (T-case) Neutral - rather to shift from 4H to 4L in one motion.
  6. Is there an argument for a naked bed?

Good points and good question. The Jeep Gladiator is intended to be a multi-use vehicle, designed to appeal to a wide spectrum of end users. That should be obvious. As such, it has many ways it can be optioned. No one way is right or wrong. But you would not know that from some of the threads...
  7. Aftermarket Soft top?

Well, low compared to Wrangler, but over 75,000 so far. According to this source: https://carsalesbase.com/us-jeep-gladiator/
  8. Aftermarket Soft top?

Unless I am mistaken, Bestop make the OEM tops for Jeep. So they are not going to be able to make a competing product for a while.
  9. Is there an argument for a naked bed?

JL Unlimited. i.e, the 4-door Wrangler JL.
  10. Key Fob Follies

Another solution found! If you cannot get Jeep to make it smaller by wining about it, turn the liability into an asset! Impress your friends by making it even bigger. And harder, too...
  11. Is there an argument for a naked bed?

You know, I don't recall ever seeing a U-haul trailer towed behind a hearse. Just sayin' ;)
  12. Is there an argument for a naked bed?

Yes. Many years ago my uncle flew in to town for a visit. He had many light planes over the years; this time I think it was Piper Tri-pacer. He was meticulous about his pre-flight check. These Lycoming engines had completely redundant ignition systems. Two magnetios, two spark plugs in each...
  13. Is there an argument for a naked bed?

I am joining this after 5 pages already posted, and I don't have the patience to read through all of it to see if anyone already posted my opinion. So I will just offer it. Yes, I specifically wanted a body-color bed. My body color is white; I chose white for several reasons, but among the...
  14. Key Fob Follies

So muscle cars are mad now? Like the "angry Jeep" grilles?
  15. Key Fob Follies

After much deliberation and reading all the opinions (really only two), I have decided the reason for the size is ruggedness. After all, it is an off-road capable fob.
  16. ACC Easter Egg Discovered in Mojave Gladiator

I have not experienced that. I have 6-speed, maybe that makes a difference. Then again, I have never tried it in really aggressive traffic.
  17. ACC Easter Egg Discovered in Mojave Gladiator

Wouldn't that have the same net result? If you shorten the following distance, it is going to have to brake more often and/or more strongly.
  18. Most Hideous Gladiators and Wrangler..... EVER?

I have a fantasy about getting one of these, put a supercharged modern V6 in it, and make an electrically-operated exhaust bypass that actually goes out the portholes. With maybe some nitrous injection to boot. A real sleeper.
