I think that your YJ doesn't look half bad.
My recollection is that Jeep created the YJ with a roughly CJ width body but widened the axles to guard against rollovers that older CJs were known for. The combination gave first gen Wranglers all the ingredients to give more than mere tire bulge...
This is exactly the look that comes to mind whenever I see Jeeps with unecessarily "excessive" poke! Many people think that the extra width translates to aggressive-cool looks. I mostly think low rider vibes on purpose built off-road vehicle. (I actually appreciate low riders, but not for a...
I believe that there were a vocal group who expressed dismay that the diffs had a drain plug on the bottom of the diff housing. For those who off road, repeated rubbing of the diff housing at bottom drain plug site increased chances of leaks and diff failures or even just grinding the bolt so it...
Reading through all of the recent updates makes me feel much more reassured that the chattering I also felt is nothing serious. Annoying, yes, serious, likely no if this is it. I haven't experienced the chattering since reading the updates but I am certainly going to be trying to touch the...
@ruggburnout
Please let us know. I would find it interesting if this were the culprit because the issue appears to be isolated to 6sp MTs. Last time I checked there are far more pentastars in AT models and haven't heard of this issue on those. That said, this is the first time I have heard of...
I have the same name on this Gladiator forum as on the JL forum. My guess as to why you were not able to get the same name is because @Ginjaninja beat you to it.
The O.G. Ginjaninja doesn't appear to be too active round here these parts.
This is awesome thread. Thank you for sharing and looking forward to the update, particularly about your assessment of the quality of the install after testing for a while. Are you getting a 500 mile or 1000 mile visual inspection? I understand that this is often, not always, part of gear...
I went over to the Scout website. The vehicle looks a lot like a Rivian R1S but with square headlights. That isn't bad because I think the Rivians look good for not being Jeeps.
This is so ridiculous it is cool.
@Casey250 I am going to have two requests for your youtube once the Demonator starts appearing in your channel:
One, while traveling slowly on one of those high altitude shelf roads high in alpine with the Dirty and Dangerous crew, I want to see an aerial...
Well, I was specifically referring to the Rest In Peace Pentastar supercharger that Casey has indicated he is not planning on installing. Was not referring to the Mopar-made Demon engine... though there might be reliability considerations for that engine as well.
You said in your video that you are doing this in phases. I am excited to see the episode where you eventually strap a Ripp supercharger straight onto the Demon's supercharger.
I typically view ALL CAPS posts as an indication that the author never evolved from 1990s AOL/hotmail email-chain era of humanity. However, in this instance, I wholeheartedly agree that the use here is fully and 100% appropriate. THANK YOU!
Thank you! I am debating whether to go with these shocks or not. Lots of people seem to like them and say the money is worth it. I appreciate you helping me decide, this is very helpful info.
OP,
Any update on what you think? Also, curious which tune you opted for as Accutune says they have three standard options (Adventure, Dual Sport and Trail).
Thanks in advance.
