As you step further back the 33s + lift start to become less and less appealing, especially if you start to look at the vehicle from an angle (wheel offset plays a huge visual roll in how large the tires look).
That being said, I got compliments on it in person even with the stock 33s + AEV...
I just posted mine locally with a bit less miles on them for $800. If I don't get any takers I might see if I can pop the bead on them, keep my tpms sensors, and then sell the tires and wheels separately (there are a lot of non jeep wheels being sold locally so I'm hoping I might reach a bigger...
Nope, the aux switch bundle contains wiring for all 4 aux switches + a switched ignition on wire + an always on wire. I'm using all 4 of my aux switches in addition to my hardwired dash cam.
Do you have the aux switches? If you do, under the glove compartment has an ignition on wire and always on wire you can use that's bundled with the aux switch wiring. That's what I used for mine.
Based off this thread, I ended up going with their taller 22in XL toolbox (the same one that comes with the wheels, but you can buy it without them). Only have one so far, but it's the same width as the one the OP purchased (when no wheels are attached). Haven't decided whether I'm going to...
1. It is a JD1912 relay. I replied to another rock lights thread with relay details, so I leave that here:
2. I mentioned some automotive diodes in a previous comment in this thread post 115 -...
What specifically do you have questions on? See my earlier post in this thread (116) for a general wire setup/schematic. Basically:
- The harness for my rock lights has a relay built into it.
- Power to the relay is going from an always on source (I'm using the trailer hitch wiring, going to the...
Well, I got another 3d printer project that I did a while ago but figured I'd share.
Earlier in this thread I had 3d printed a mount for my cellphone. Long story short, it didn't hold up long term (eventually deformed) and I wanted a stronger magnet. My wife ended up buying a magbak case and...
I've been happy with the x4s. Because of the height of the Gladiator bed is noticeable shorter than other trucks I'm used to, I find myself rolling the cover back somewhat frequently for loading taller items. I also like that I can roll it completely back and the rearview is not obstructed in...
Thanks! I budgeted for the truck, but not so much for all the mods I'd like to do. That will probably always be a slow moving target. Should have never joined this forum
Awesome, let me know if you have more questions. Only other thing I can think of worth mentioning is about the harness. Since all the wiring for each individual light splits off from a single place on the harness, making sure to be mindful where you decide to place that. For my setup, I placed...
This might help for anyone who is doing something similar. Some things of note:
- On my relay/harness, pin 85 is used for the trigger wire. This might not always be the case depending on the lights you have and/or the relay wiring in your kit
- The blue area is my other bed light project that is...
The relay isn't mounted any special way, I just have it ziptied up in the back with the rest of the harness next to the connector to the wire that goes up to the bed light. While it will still probably get a little wet there, I'm not really worried. If the relay fails it's easy to replace and I...
Here are some photos to follow up with what I was talking about for the front mounts. I drilled the holes so that they would be using existing bolts in the bumper and raised slightly so that the rest higher than the steel bumper itself.
I have the relay and diodes mounted in the rear close to the bed light. I pulled from the 7-pin connector for power (used a 7 pin extension and cut the end off so that I didn't have to cut into any wiring - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09BMNLX6S?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share). This made it so the only...
