I built the frame and the base. Pretty straight forward welding. Bought the axel, mounts, and leaf springs for $125. They built the axel to the same width as my TJR. The top is a solid sheet of metal that hinges forward with gas assist shocks. 5 foot long welds take awhile to weld and grind.
I just called FCA customer service and talked with Audra (spelling) and she indicated that FCA has no control over market adjustments some Jeep dealerships are adding. She said they are “independently owned” and that the MSRP is just a “suggestion.”

My dealer just told me they can’t order up a Gator until FCA starts offering that color. I was hoping we Gator folks could go ahead and get in line. I guess not. Ugh!
