lol. I’ve watched guys change axles on trails. Yes I think this is what happened. I did look at the wheel and it was a bit further back in the wheel well on that side. I hope its a good as new when I get it back. I guess it’s not that unusual to replace an axle.

They told me Jeep is covering the axle issue under warranty and that neither of them found an accident listed on carfax , so it is clean, no accidents. I am sure Jeep saw the bumper though… could be it is hard to say if that caused the axle issue. There is no frame or body damage. Could be...

Talked to them today and it looks like it is going to work out. The major repairs are going to be made by Jeep and then they will look over it again when they get it back. I‘m so glad I tested It before the warranty ran out. I will post a celebration photo when I get it back :)

Yes, they did say they would fix it--but aren't saying how or when yet. Hopefully I will know more today. I have decided that I am "saving" this Jeep from its former life. It needed me LOL.

So if it was a salvage vehicle, they sold it with the warranty not “as is” and did not disclose that—so I am expecting they would still fix it? Or buy it back?

Standing in the bed of truck it looks equal and straight. From the sides it looks good. Both sides match. There might be a bit more space at the tops than the bottoms but not much (like 1/4-1/2 inch) and both sides match. Seems straight
