Iām looking at the OVS and Smartcap for a topper, trying to decide on cost, weight, etc. I recently came across a company called Wanderfox (about an hour and an half away) and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them? Thereās not a lot of info on them. Whatās appealing is the...
Just wondering if anyone has the Quadratop headliners from Quadratec and how these compare to the Hotheads? I have the Hotheads on a 2021 Wrangler and like them but the price of the Quadratops are about a hundred or so less. Looking for headliners for my JT. Any help is appreciated.
thanks. A picture would be a great help. Iām at a standstill for now until I can figure out a way to get the wiring inside.
Iāve been looking at something like this but didnāt want to spend the money right now. I was also looking at the voswitch but that would require wiring
i dont have the...
Iām trying to install pod lights and when I removed the cowl I saw a connector just sitting there and a tube at the bottom of the corner of the windshield. Can anyone help me to identify what these are for? I canāt think of an option where a connector like this could be used. I'm trying to...
I am going to install a set of nilight pod lights this weekend and am trying to find out where to mount the switch. Iām looking for any ideas. I plan on getting a voswitch sometime next year but there are other items I need to get first. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I donāt really...
Thanks. The manual says a max of 301 amps at 12000 lbs thatās why I thought 350. Do I need to go to 500 or would 400 be better? Not sure how much over the ratings I need to go with the fuse.
In the case of an accident, even with the fuse, there could still be sparks which could cause a fire, even though the fuse would blow. I donāt know if these fuses are slo blow or not. At least in my mind. I am ok with spending $15-$20 for a fuse just for the added piece of mind. In my mind only...
I like the disconnect to remove power from the front of the vehicle when Iām doing normal driving, purely a safety standpoint. I like the fuse in case there is a short in the winch, wire issue, etc., while using the winch. I may not be close to the disconnect to get to it quickly. Just another...
So Iāve decided to go with a disconnect switch and a fuse. i will most likely use the winch half dozen times per year so opening the hood doesnāt bother me. My winch will draw 300 amps at the most so I plan on a 350 or 400 amp fuse. I appreciate all the comments and suggestions. I look forward...
I am getting ready to install my winch and do not want power to the winch at all times for overall safety issues so I will be installing a disconnect for sure. I was also thinking about protection for the times I will be using the winch and if there is a short in the winch, cable, etc. I dont...
Thanks for the info. Would about 100 lbs extra on the front end create any noticable sag? Iām wondering at what point I would need to look at different springs or possibly a spacer?
