Nice e-FATCAAD! That looks like a blast. Is that an aftermarket e-bike kit? It'll fit I'm sure, it just might need to be mounted at a 30-40deg angle, like my fatbike:
Ah nice! Fixed. Thanks!
I don't know though! They don't use the kind of crazy salt we do in the winter! ;)
(Kidding - Africa is I'm sure much worse overall lol)
Nice! I was wondering about what to do with the free front wheel aside from just tying it down. I like that solution a lot!
Just need to design a trail rail adapter... sound like fun!
I'm using a Rocky mount axle clamp:

I 3D printed some 2 piece brackets to hold a 2x4 right at the edge of the tailgate to maximize the amount of bed length I could use too...
Thanks man! It's definitely a dream I've had since the rumor mill started way back when, It's coming together!
Agreed!! The access is amazing. Opens up so many possibilities! Crazy how tough and light the thing is too. I'm real glad I listened to Smlobx's favorable words towards...
After several trips in my old JKU with 1 or 2 bikes in the back, that's what sold me on the Gladiator! Painful waiting so long for a bed cap though. Was really hoping there would be a Mopar option out of the gate...
My old MTB had to mount on the far side and rest at an angle sadly, taking up...
Finally getting around to sharing my install, the drive home from the freight company would have been a lot more nerve-racking had it been a steel canopy! This this is crazy light for how strong it is.
Install was super easy, just as long as you have a way to lift it up onto your bed walls...
Looks great! Just picked up mine and installed it last night as well. Very pleased with the fit.
Have you figured out the cab lighting wiring? I can't find instructions anywhere...
The throttle response is noticeably quicker, plus it automatically turns traction control off if you choose that option on the head unit. Beyond that I'm still learning the finer details, but I almost always reach for the button when I go into 4H now.
Sounds like you're speaking from experience... If so:
These features are only available if you keep the TaZer Mini connected right? Have you run into any problems with hitting it with your leg? I'm especially worried since I opted for the manual.
It shouldn't. The ACC logic is much simpler for a manual.
After testing mine, I can shift and keep ACC active, all the vehicle has to do is accelerate or decelerate to match the velocity of the vehicle ahead.
My build's a bit a-typical so my needs are usually different than most. I live in Michigan and regularly drive to the Rockies, especially in the winter.
So the big benefits to me are that it's lighter so as to not murder my fuel economy too much, and that it won't rust despite all the insane...
As a keyfob? No thanks.
As a model that matches my build? Oh yes please! Been thinking about this since I sold my 2017 JKU for my JTR. Would love a scale model of the final build to remember it by! I think I have enough pictures to re-create it, just not the creative finesse to do it well myself.
Sadly, the renders I was expecting aren't going to pan out until early Jan. Was told too busy before the shut down :-(.
That said I reserved my own Explorer Canopy too...
