I’m not sure of your personal skills, time, knowledge and what not but I’m currently drawing up plans for a DIY wedge style camper similar to the GFC. There are a ton of plans, resources, and knowledge on the Tacoma forums. Check out Ripcord on YouTube. Lightweight, fraction of cost, less lead...
Not exactly on my gladiator (yet), but started designing and building a parts list for my DIY Wedge camper. I have three young boys and want to make camping a regular thing but also want the ease of setting everything up as the solo adult. The goals are as lightweight as possible while still...
Short but productive time in the garage this afternoon. Used the ECRI for the first time to change tire size, fog lights with high beams, hood alarm and what not. Pretty straight forward and user friendly, aside from some of the plugs to disconnect! A few bloody knuckles on blind reinstallation...
Got the Quadratec Baja Flares and 37s mounted up. Air dams removed for clearance. Also put front Rubicon springs to level her out. I have the AEV spacer lift ready to go, just debating on how realistic the height is for me right now and the three kids in car seats in the back.
@setexascustoms I just got mine mounted this weekend. I’ll get some pictures of the poke. I have the sport axles, but I also went with an 11.5 inch wide tire. No lift. No rub.
Some of the holes didn’t line up, even with flexing, pulling and pushing. I had to bore out a couple using a drill as well. Mine had a decent scratch on one of them. Obviously not a big deal as they’ll get scratches, but not something I necessarily want when buying new. They require modification...
I just got done installing my Quadratec Baja Fenders today. I obviously can’t speak to the longevity and durability since it’s a new install, but I will say I was sorely disappointed in the overall product for the price. I would suggest going with other options if anybody has good experience. It...
Haha I’m sure I was just too worried about stripping the threaded insert, as I was already having buyers remorse. They just looked far more fine than the factory. Thanks for the quick reply @ORACLE Terry . Will just go full send once the kiddos get to bed.
It’s a bummer when you go to install your @ORACLElights Flush mount tail lights and there’s no mounting screws and the factory ones aren’t compatible. You’d think for the price it would be included ?. Able to tell me what I need to buy @ORACLE Terry ?
Got my Fifteen52 Metrix in Carbon Grey paired with the 37x11.5R17 Nitton Recon yesterday! Getting the lift and tires installed next weekend! Interested to see how the 0 offset with the 11.5 width on a non-wide axle turns out ??????
Edit: this looks huge compared to the 285/70R17 but has to be...
