I know how to do it. When I installed my after thought accessory switches you do some wiring on the passenger side. Anyway there was a blue wire that I had not connected properly and my stop/start light was on in my dash. Anyway it disabled it but you have a light on in your dash.
Steffen707 here are some pics. I know not flush mounted but I could find anything solid to attach to on the bottom of the recessed area. I ran my wiring through the hitch then through the frame to the front.
Well I have mine mounted. I took out one of the plastic bumper cover holders on each side of the hitch and drilled it out a bit then mounted my lights under the bumper. It was the only place I could see that there was steel there to mount to. They are 8000 lumens each.
I accidentally ordered red for my drl’s then reordered white but the dealer said the t20 bulbs will work in the signal/brake light. Not sure if the bulb I have has the ability to do both but will see when my other lights show up. It sure looks mean with the red drl’s. Haven’t been stopped yet.
Very easy to install. The flash is required so your radio knows it there and you can change the settings for how you want to use the switches. I ordered my switches from the dealer as they beat all other prices so did the flash for free.
I got mine yesterday and did my updates on a MAC and I had no problems changing my settings on my truck. Other than it won’t turn off the auto start feature which is very frustrating but it did everything else I wanted it too.
Yay just put my bulbs in. Bright but haven’t taken it out yet. Got superchips to change all the lights to led and the only one I could was the signal lights. But got my tires size changed and auto start off.
I just did it to mine I got the rubicon ones as they were chrome and matched everything else on my dash. I have an overland. Easy just through the firewall proved interesting but remember lube is your friend.
Seriously though a $120 for two small pieces of aluminum. I could buy a whole sheet for that. That’s crazy I am having a hard time buying into that. Might make my own.
I did it to mine it’s a really easy install with a quick flash from the dealer who should do it for free. I bought from the dealer as they beat everyone else’s prices. And yes I have the 7” display
I did but I think it is a double wall grommet. I found if you poke it in the left side and poke up it will go through both. I think you are hitting edge of the grommet or the wire itself.
