I'm right there with ya- I understand that there's gonna be some things here or there about what people are considering a "rival" vehicle, but this forum has a knee jerk reaction to post any and every potential negative article/opinion piece/etc.
Meanwhile, we have a Bronco in the garage...
That's probably the route that I would go, honestly. I just mentioned the spades since you already had some females on the ends of the paired wires, to keep your wiring time down.
Not sure that an echo chamber is the best place to pose a question like that. That's like asking a bunch of dog people if dogs or cats are the better pet...
Sure, you'll get a couple of folks trying to be objective in their comparisons, but in the end, the consensus will be the same.
Technically, you could connect a male spade and lead wire to all of the wire pairings that you already have. That would cut the number of wires down to 2, going to each Aux wire. Then I bet a blue butt connector would be large enough to go two wires on one side, and the other side would connect...
At 11:20 in the video that's on the thread I posted above, the the whites are paired together, the blues are paired together, and then there's the ground. If your lights are the same set up, then I would use the connector of your choice (butt connectors, solder/shrink tube, spades, etc.- I like...
A pic of the overall layout of the wires would be helpful. I don't own those lights, so I don't have a point of reference. In the end, you need a power wire and a ground for each light, if you're gonna use aux switches. How many wires are coming out of each individual light?
The insulation is thicker than OEM carpet, but overall it has the same feel in the footwell area. Not bulky at all. 1000% improvement, not to mention the benefits of additional floor insulation.
Yep, I asked everyone that I called for the temp sensor, if they had the aux battery, just in case. All the parts stores were out of stock, backordered, or nothing listed. The two closest dealers (within 75 miles) of where I was at, were both out of them too. Both dealers said they typically...
Closeout to this thread- after replacing the Coolant Temp Sensor, made the 3 hour drive home, with zero issues. About an hour into the drive, we made a quick pit stop, and the CEL also went out on it's own (which I expected it to do, if the problem was fixed). No ESS or Adaptive Cruise errors...
Not sure if this helps, but when I have my doors off and hard top on, it will *almost* pull all the way down to the bottom of the rockers. I use mine when I take the doors off, there's just a small gap along the bottom because the fit is so snug with the hard top on. I would say there's a 2-3"...
I hope the days of heat killing batteries are coming to an end! Quick update on the other situation: Drove the wife's Bronco an hour and a half to a dealer in Gainesville for the coolant temp sensor. Cost me a whopping $23.74 with tax. Drove the hour and a half back, and new sensor was in, in...
