as a note, we had cranked the stock system to 34-35 on a road trip a couple weekends back.
it didn’t sound horrible but it was obvious most of the volume wasn’t from the dash.
I’m debating if i want to mess with the knee panel. I may swap them too. I’m hemming and hawing on it. to do that...
Yep. The 4 ohm change helped a little there. They come on a little louder at lower volumes.
I was cruising around with the windows down around 24-25. Have cranked it to 30 with no sound deterioration or issue.
Some of the tunes I used were:
Slipknot
Blues traveller
Eazy E
Blacked eyed Peas...
I actually did the dash speakers first. I ran it that way for a day to see how it impacted the sound stage ( laughable to say that in a jeep). It was a good improvement. You can actually hear them compared to stock. The tweeters seemed really bright at first, serious treble rebel. I kinda...
I swapped the 3.5s with Kicker DSC350 and the sound bar 4s with KSC40.
The tweeters are bright, almost too bright. Dialing back the treble 1-2 bars makes it just about right.
The 4 inch came with a 3 screw mounting plate.
I used the metra connectors for the 4in and the red wolf for the 3.5s...
I will post this in a different thread....later after I swap the speakers.
I had seen that folks couldn't find speakers with the correct mounting tabs, not sure if these are the correct orientation. I ordered some and should have them soon.
I went with a Tyger one, no complaints so far.

Saw it here. Install was easy and it was inexpensive.
Rubicon.
-7k towing vs 6k
-Lift options are vast compared to Mojave
The road manners will improve with a nice lift so don't let that be much of a concern.
