Per my salesman today, the jeep will arrive at the rail yard in GA on Friday. Who knows how long it will sit there waiting on a ride to the dealership. Given the shortage of truck drivers, I'd guess no delivery until after the holidays.
per Jeep Chat this morning, my dealer ETA is now 12/18 to 12/30 (originally was 12/16 to 12/30). Dealer is in GA. I think it would be easier to pick it up after Christmas since I need to book a flight to Atlanta. It's getting closer!
My garage is full of parts waiting for the jeep to arrive.
You should get an email with the control number after it's generated. That email is what gets provided to the dealer. It will also show the expiration date.
In my experience, the jeep jamborees have quite a few folks from out of state in attendance. I live in FL now, and use the jamborees to see different parts of our country. I love a good road trip!
Lately, it's been common for some of the jamborees to go straight to a waiting list. Happened with the Moab jamboree too. Texas Spur went to a waitlist within minutes.
If you are on the waitlist early, chances are good you will get a spot. But don't hold me to that. Lol.
I managed to get...
Jeep Chat tells me: "Thank you so much for holding. I am showing that your vehicle is in the shipping stage. Current Dealer ETA is 12/16/2021 - 12/30/2021"
So, I will assume that's it's on a rail car heading to GA. I ordered from Auto Mall of GA on 11/15
Well, I emailed my salesman for confirmation of shipment and he said it was just staged for shipping; it hasn't shipped yet. Sigh ... Jeep Chat. They are most disappointing.
Does calling work better than the Chat? The folks on chat duty don't provide the clearest information. It was better...
I seem to be stuck in inspection, which is what prompted my question. I got there on 12/1 and the jeep is still there. My estimated build date is 12/4, so will see if that gets pushed.
For those running these, how are they holding up? Has anyone used them as a rock slider? Any chance a hard hit would cause the slider to impact the body?
I'm trying to decide between these or something like Rustys or Shockworks frame mounted sliders. Or maybe even spend the money on RSE...
Yes, me too! Clayton lift, some Metalcloak control arms, bump stops, compressor, shocks, winch, etc. Am waiting to order the wheels and tires mostly because I don't have room for them in the garage. Lol. First world problems...
