It doesn't do anything for driveability. It is just for looks. Manual trans fluid change recommendations are in the manual. To find about the auto trans you just need to search for gladiator auto trans service.
You can get the hood fixed by jeep. They have a 10 year corrosion warranty. It is a hassale and they make you jump through hoops. However I just got a new hood and tailgate on their dime.
Don't believe the Jeep propaganda that the trans fluid is lifetime. Trans manufacturer says 60k for replacement. I did the spacer leveling kit just to take out the rack on mine. With that I was easily able to fit 33s on her. Also, I lived in Florida and I bought a sunshade bikini top for riding...
I usually use the auto/manual shift to go up a gear. Helps me to keep the engine below 3k. Not sure of the gas mileage as I don’t tow far from my house.
Hola ShrimpHappens. You can absolutely tow to the limit with your max tow. I have done it with my travel trailer. I find that the gladiator drives better pulling a trailer as it does less wandering. That being said the side gusts can be challenging and I don’t really go farther than 100 miles...
I just ordered some today as well. Love your gladiator. Went with the same color myself. I see you live in Bonney Lake, I use to live in Auburn, WA. Small world, glad there are so many Jeep owners in it.
Nice rigs. I have a Gladiator sport s max tow also that I just picked up a month ago. Are those bigger tires and a lift on yours. Mine is still stock and is raked forward. Don’t really like the look. However worried if the tires are much bigger it will affect the tow capacity
