I just went outside and looked. Black knuckles, so cast iron. Mineās a diesel so that might matter. Also, based on the sticker it also has the HD brakes. Confirmed it has dual piston calipers up front. Looks like I got lots of good toys from the factory.
I know the High Altitude comes with the wider axles, Iām assuming to give it a more stable ride. My question is do they have aluminum or iron knuckles? Iām planning on doing some minor upgrades. Rubi Fox shocks and either Falcon AT3Wās or BFG KO2ās. Just wondering what I have.
Iām at a whopping 1200 miles on the Gladiator and rolled 10k on the Silverado this week. 2nd service on the Silverado was performed by the dealer this week with a total cost of $136 including tire rotation and DEF top-off.
The power of the Gladiator diesel is addictive. I was blasting around...
We have had our 2021 High Altitude diesel for almost a month and yes it wandered especially between 50 and 60. I noticed that the tires were pretty high (43lbs) from the factory. I dropped them today to 39 cold and that has really helped. Our Gladiator has light green tire stem caps so Iām...
I canāt hear much of a difference at all. Maybe just a touch of turbo spooling noise.
Iām assuming you havenāt noticed much performance difference? Any guess on how much weight was saved?
I also have two modern diesels including a Gladiator and so far I love both of them. The torque, mileage, and overall feel is awesome. Iād do it again in a heartbeat.
I havenāt had my diesel Gladiator long enough to need to do anything with DEF other than top it off (had about a 1/2 tank when we bought it new). However Iāve been driving a 1/2 ton Silverado with the 3 liter turbo diesel for 6 months now. Just shy of 10k miles (9700 and change) and Iāve just...
My diesel High Altitude has not had this issue yet. Just rolled 900 miles today on a mix of roads. No idea what springs I have as everything is bone stock. I can see about measuring the springs this week.
We bought our Gladiator off the lot. We tried to order one but with the specific options we wanted the dealer couldnāt. They tried to submit the order and it wouldnāt go. Called corporate and were told āno diceā.
I wanted a diesel and they had exactly one on the lot. A High Altitude in...
Youāll like both. Chip shortage is screwing everything up right now.
I took advantage of Hotheads Memorial Weekend discount and picked up the sound assassin top kit. Hoping it kills some of the highway wind noise. Iāll be putting some stock size AT tires on this fall as well as the factory...
I just picked up a Gladiator High Altitude Diesel about three weeks ago and i got a new ā21 Silverado LT with the 3 liter turbo diesel in late December last year as my new company truck. I figured you guys might like to know how they compare. At this point Iāve got a whopping 850 miles on the...
I picked up a new 2021 High Altitude Diesel Gladiator about three weeks ago and I love it. My only real complaints are the minivan tires it came with and the wind noise. The tires will be dealt with later this year but I just ordered the āSound Assassinā top kit from Hothead Headliners. My...
Just picked up a new diesel High Altitude last week. I absolutely love it, but the stock wimpy street tires have got to go. Iām at this point planning on sticking with the stock 275-55-20ās but want some ATās. Anybody have experience and some pictures?
Thanks much!
