Addressed my rock chipping problem with a pair of "mud flaps." A special thanks to @gatorwesty for a good deal on the steps for my daughter and wife. Sorry to all the JTR purists and off-roaders cringing at the rock rails to steps conversion. Hopefully, this is a temporary solution until I find...
'73 Cutlass Supreme, 350 w/4bbl, navy, er, Michigan-rust. Paid a solid $350 for it and yes, it could surprise the new Mustang 5.0 off the line. For those 15 seconds from the light, I was sooo cool..
And yes, any Gladiator color is still better than a Mustang.
We bought a 2022 JTR that came with 6 mos XM. We've been pleasantly surprised on how much we've enjoyed it. You first need to pick a subscription and set up an online ID. It was real easy to download from Apple and Google Play stores onto our IPhone and Android devices. From there you can log...
Late in getting this posted, but I love the look and quality of the rugged ridge armis soft folding tonneau. The cover's twill is a perfect match to the OEM premium soft top. A little pricey as far as tonneaus go, but the mounting hardware, quick-release, and the wife liking the finished look -...
After dozens of phone calls and emails overcoming resistance from the dealer - Stellantis and their customer service center came thru. My wife got the JTR red dash that I promised her
A couple poor-man mods...
1) plasti-dip antenna
2) stained and varnished bed-divider [I'm embarrassing myself after @JoeInOh nice work]
3) LED strip light hooked to my factory AUX
I agree with you and will switch to paint in a couple months after my wife doesnt freak. She freaks every time I start to mod anything on our 8 week-old jeep. I use the forum to show her that mods are normal and reason for a jeep. I'm sneaking in small undoable items to warm her up. Her Sahara...
Hah! The silver metal latch got to me too. Bought a 6-pack of them for our JTR and son's 2-door JL. It does look cleaner with our Gobi and son's Sting gray. One thing I don't understand is why a 4-door pack comes with 6 covers...
I appreciate the insight and will research deeper into the ills of topping off. I've done this in the middle of long trips, assuming my jeep would drink the 1st gallon in the next 20 miles or < 20 min of the trip and have 2 gallons gone in about 1/2 hr @ 70 mph. Expansion shouldn't be a concern...
Next time you fill-up, pull the nozzle part way out and keep filling, as slow as possible. Wait a couple seconds each time the pump kicks off and resume filling. Sounds crazy, but if you are slow and very careful to not overfill, I bet you can get at least 2 addtional gallons in your tank. I've...
