Grew up with my dad’s jeep having a soft top. As a kid, I was totally okay. Now that I’m older, longer trips with a hard top reduce fatigue, at least to me. My wife prefers the hard top and even at times still thinks it’s too noisy (she drives Acuras). I think they’re worth it. However, I will...
Installed the Mopar hard tonneau last night. Ran into the same surprise regarding the rivet nut and lack of tool as the original OP. Like @kevman65 and plenty of youtubers suggested, I used the original hardware that came with the kit, a couple extra washers and some common tools to get the job...
Florida weather has been in the 80’s for the past week so I can’t blame winter. I also have 4.10 due to the max tow like others. I’m going to take a swing and say it’s the load range E tires I’m running for these 35’s ? wasnt my first choice but it’s what was in stock. I’ll be getting C range...
Lol yup these issues are def self inflicted. But not complaining. It’s all relative anyways. Whenever I feel bad, I just think about my friend who gets 8mpg with his chevy.
Freedom edition here (sport s w/ steel bumpers) and max tow. I threw on new wheels and 35’s along with a lvl kit in the front. Adjusted the realistic tire size in the computer with a tazer. Currently get an average of 15mpg city and 17.5 highway (70mph tops) no other mods and hauling nothing but...
(Edit) I guess steersmart is needed since the mopar lift is off center so to speak. Tires seem a little high to me, even if they are 37”.
and 37” will fit guaranteed with that 2” lift.
I paid 10% less than quoted because i had a coupon. Of course my tires are 35” and no labor since i put...
Also, contrary to the reddit comments, this isn’t a “jeep move”. Those redditors should accurately say this is a “floridian move” because I and probably many other Floridians would have made that u-turn in any other vehicle. Not just a Jeep.
Floridian here. U-turns are a very common because city road planning officials are idiots here so u-turns are necessary. As long as there’s not a “no u-turn” sign posted (which there isn’t in this case) then he was legal to make a u-turn so long as he can safely yield to oncoming traffic. With...
When you have 2 guys with 150-200k+ miles on their engine, one of which changed oil every 3k miles and the other who changed theirs every 8k miles… who was more right in the end?
(Talks of financial responsibility aside because that’s not what the original thread was about)
Oh yeah, never trust online prices. Saw a sarge green freedom for $51k online. You could visually see it had dealership mods so right off the bat it was too good to be true. Was at the dealership getting what I have now and that sarge green had a sticker price of $72k and that’s before...
I have these and they’re okay. I live in Florida as well. Wet road traction is okay but there are way better tires out there in this category. I also think the snow peak certification of these are wasted on us Floridians.
Gladiator 6x6 making a cameo in a new trailer for The Lost City. Can be seen around the 1:11 mark. Hope it doesn’t get blown up. Is this a villain’s vehicle?
So shortly after this pic was taken, my jeep was actually raided by crows. My daughter was eating in bed then left to go play. Then another gladiator owner pulled up and while we were chatting, some crows came and started eating her scraps and some other food out of the cooler. Good day overall...
