  1. SiriusXM sucks on 2021 Jeep Gladiator.

I notice the same thing about XM reception from time to time. However, recently I noticed my XM radio plays much quieter than regular radio or bluetooth audio. I thought XM radio was supposed to be digital and sound better than an analog radio station, not quieter. Odd.
  2. At what point are additional skids needed?

That's it! Our transfer case skid plates look totally different and it looks like I have no protection for my transmission compared to your Rubicon, even though that skid plate is listed as standard on the Jeep website for my 80th anniversary, but only listed as available for the Rubicon?? I...
  3. At what point are additional skids needed?

Bed Side Rock Rails? I plan to get a set of those (especially after the recent pics), but Jeep is talking about something else when they say "Underbody Skid Plate." You didn't notice a skid plate covering anything other than the gas tank, transfer case, and transmission like I have on my 80th...
  4. Amp specs for Alpine Premium System?

It's not at all about increasing the max volume. It is about clarity and fullness of sound. When I added larger and higher quality 4 ohm speakers to my Jeep I gained a lot of clarity, but I lost the rich powerful bass because the 2 ohm Alpine amp is not supplying enough power to the speakers...
  5. At what point are additional skids needed?

Well that adds up. I guess they are just designed for your wider axle on the Rubicon. Not listed as a fitment for other trims like my 80th anniversary. I wonder who will be first to offer some differential skids for non-Rubicon Gladiators. The rock rails are listed separately on the...
  6. At what point are additional skids needed?

Hmmm... so what is this "Underbody skid plate" that is listed on Jeep's site as the only skid plate on the Rubicon that is not on my 80th Anniversary? I have skid plates on my fuel tank, transmission, and transfer case from the factory.
  7. Amp specs for Alpine Premium System?

There is definitely some variance in amp output quality between 2 ohm and 4 ohm. They can range anywhere from 50% up to close to 70% difference in power at the different ohm settings. Impossible to know for sure unless you have the exact power outputs from the manufacturer. Everything I read...
  8. Amp specs for Alpine Premium System?

Those look like a lot better quality than the factory speakers. Now you will just need a different amp to power them since I am sure your new speakers are 4 ohms instead of the factory 2 ohm.
  9. At what point are additional skids needed?

So do you have a skid plate on your Rubicon that goes in front of the skid plate on the transfer case to protect the exhaust that crosses over behind the engine and also covers the oil pan? I didn't think I would need to add anything to that hitch either.
  10. At what point are additional skids needed?

Is that 1st picture your gas tank skid plate? Does your Rubicon come with a skid plate for the oil pan and exhaust that crosses over behind the engine? I guess I might keep my order for those Rock Hard Lower Control arm and shock skid plates after all. ? Glad that I am planning to add some...
  11. At what point are additional skids needed?

The Rock hard lower control arm and shock skid plate kit is on super back order. On second thought I may cancel that order since they are pretty well covered up already, except for the rear shocks. I think it would be tough to hit the oil pan since it is much higher up than the front...
  12. At what point are additional skids needed?

I ordered the Rock Hard Lower Control Arm and shock skid plate set (incorrect picture). Sounds like I will need to pick up longer bolts for the shocks? I am also considering the Quadratec aluminum oil pan/transmission skid plate. Anyone try this out yet?
  13. JEEP GLADIATOR BEDRUG GROUP BUY

    Done. Thanks!
  14. Anyone install or use a Block or Battery heater in winter on the 3.6L?

I already had it installed at my local dealer. It turned out to be easier than we thought as it only took 1-1.5 hours. It should be available from any Jeep dealer. Hopefully, I don't have to use it for a while.
  15. A tale of two Gladiators to get one 80th Anniversary model

In the last few days I got the chance to install a few parts. Mostly good. The one you can skip and I am returning to Extreme Terrain is the DV8 front differential skid plate. The part looks durable, but the U-shaped clamps that attach it to the axle housing make really hard contact on the...
  16. At what point are additional skids needed?

I agree completely. I thought this would be much easier. The DV8 skid plate was packaged really well and the skid plate itself looks very durable. It is the U-shaped mounts that go over the axle housing that are the issue. Terrible engineering. I had a bad feeling installing it that I would...
  17. Has anyone had good luck with Superchips or is there better tuning software that provides actual hp gains?

Are you back in the states yet and did you get the Livernois tune? I called them up the other week and it was exactly what you said. If I remember correctly he quoted about 26hp and similar torque gains at the peak and some areas in the power curve where it was up to 50+ hp difference. That...
  18. Anyone install or use a Block or Battery heater in winter on the 3.6L?

I ended up getting the Mopar block heater for my Jeep. Along with having heated seats and for the first time- a heated steering wheel, and remote start- this thing is going to be nice this winter.
  19. Anyone meet up in WI?

I finally got into the Jeep Adventure Academy event at the Badlands in Indiana on Oct. 14th! Sweet!! Is anyone else going to this?
