Towing 6500lbs with the diesel will probably be significantly more enjoyable than with the V6.. Even though the ED has less tow capacity it will probably tow better than the v6 up to that capacity.. If you are towing 7000+lbs consistently, you probably want a different truck.
As of 6PM EST yesterday my Eco Diesel Sport ordered on 8/21/2020 - built on 9.14.2020 is still in "storage" at the factory. No ship or delivery date assigned. Info from my dealer.
Why dont you unbolt the axle side of the drag link and spin the entire assembly to use up some of the unused threads on the outside of the adjuster? to move the wheel .5 you probably only need another rotation.
