    Picking up a diesel rubicon. It has the normal bumper NOT steel so saves some weight there. For what its worth the payload sticker is 1000#. May help someone as when shopping I couldn't find much actual info other than 1 example that was 900# biggest thing I can see would likely be he heavy...
  2. Eco diesel or max tow

    I'm still not clear on if HD axels = HD wide track axles though. Not sure they are all the same track width. I thought all gladiators technically had "HD" axels. Only Max Tow, Mojave, and Rubicon got the widetrack version. Diesel gets a little more vague but not sure it would be any different.

    Fundamentally I think it's just priced a bit too premium for what you are actually getting. I'm on the fence likely will buy anyway. If it was 5K or so less across the board MSRP I don't think I'd blink. The price of a loaded out Rubicon, Mojave, Diesel whatever buys you a LOT of vehicle...
