Supposedly, most nice batteries will have a bms temperture shutoff protection. I know the battery under the hood will eventually get heat from the engine but a battery in the bed will not. Yes, the battery will potentially be damaged and i doubt warranty will cover it.

How do dealers get paid for warranty, tsb or recall labor? I spoke to jeep wave today and they said dealers dont get paid to diagnose the issue but they get paid more then their hourly rate to install or replace the part. Is this true??? Why do dealers not want to do warranty work?
