Had a dry day yesterday, so I got to wrap up my Rock light project. Pretty happy with how even the light came out. I also think these positions would work well as actual rock lights, being that you can see in front of and behind each tire pretty well, as well as underneath the whole vehicle...
Been using pedal commander almost since I bought the vehicle. I've had absolutely no issues with it. pedal monster "appears" to be a more polished system, if it didn't use the OBDII port (even if it meant a tougher installation connecting to the gateway or something) I would have gone with it...
Since these don't seem to draw much current, I have them running off the bed light circuit. I'm working on some rock lights that I will be using as courtesy lighting that will also be off the bed light circuit but they will be wired through a relay.
Yep, I did the same thing. I have them tied to the bed light circuit. With Tazer, pressing unlock 3 times makes them stay on for (up to) 30 minutes. Works perfectly for night loading/unloading or even daytime use when I don't want to roll the tonneau cover back.
Somewhat underwhelming. Don't really see anything that I'd want that I either haven't already added to mine (or didn't have the option to spec with mine). Only thing that may interest me is finding takeoff springs from someone with a Mojave X (from what I've heard, the springs are rated...
Did a quick illustration for how MY relay is hooked up:
- The trigger wire on my harness is yellow, and is going to pin 85. However, pin 85 and 86 are interchangeable (aka, some harnesses have 85 tied to ground, and 86 is the trigger wire). Basically, there an internal coil in the relay that...
I'm currently in process of setting up my rock lights.
- I'm powering it from either the bed light and/or the aux switch. Since I am using multiple power on sources, I am using diodes. If you are ONLY powering if off the bed lights, you will not need one.
- My kit also came with a relay which...
Been looking at budget rock lights for a bit (not necessarily to use AS rock lights, but more for courtesy lighting). While I saw a lot of people liked LUX branded lights, I did not like the price tag. Some research led me to trying out a random brand on amazon to see how they faired. My minimum...
Just a point of reference - not sure what you would consider a little poke, but this should give you an idea on what 0 offset looks like with 37" KO2s (I'd consider that a little poke, but ymmv).
I feel like every once in a while the live features simply don't work (bed lights not staying on with 3+ unlock presses, license plate leds staying on during reverse). Usually it will fix itself or I can force a reboot and it will fix it.
I recently tried updating the firmware to see if that...
I've had the AEV 2" lift on since around May of this year. Supposedly that should be enough for the 37s even with the front swaybar disconnected.
I've had the mudflaps on almost since day one with the stock 33s, so I dont have a good before/after comparison. I will say I haven't had much of a...
So, it's been a while since an update.
I've been visiting family for christmas and came across a deal I couldn't pass up. Looks like I'll be swapping on some new (to me) wheels and tires this weekend.
37" KO2s and Method 701s. Should make for a pretty good lightweight (for 37s) combo...
I don't have any formal calculations or testing on that. When I was reading other project involving extrusion (usually it was for racks on top of SUVs or campers) their was a general consensus on max "desirable" deflection. I then looked as some generic deflection calculators for my bikes...
The lockable storage looks smaller than the normal storage option, so I specifically DIDNT want the option when I bought my Gladiator. One of my buddies was trading in his gladiator and gave me his rails prior to trade in so I do have those and find them pretty convenient (was the only thing I...
