Maybe consider 33's, better look and capability than your stock, won't lose all the performance and MPG's of the 35's. I swapped the OEM MT's for these BFG KO2's and couldn't be happier. These tires exceeded my expectations on performance, noise and MPGs. I can hit 20 on the highway at a...
After much research, I bought this bumper for my wife's Wrangler 2 years ago. Got the Gladiator last November, did a bunch of research all over again, and ended up with the same bumper! It's not too heave and integrates very well visually with the front end, probably Sport models better than...
So after the gear swap, your comparable RPM's dropped and your MPG's went up. I was under the impression the opposite happens? Looking forward to others comments, I have much to learn here . . .
5 months in, swapped the stock 32" MT's for 33" AT's - WAY better, WAY quieter. Hard tonneau cover, side steps, bumper and winch. Not messing with the suspension, think I'm about done. LOVE it
I owned my 2016 Ram 1500 Longhorn Ecodiesel (4x2) for nearly 7 years, traded it on my 2022 Willys gasser 5 months ago. I no longer tow my RV, so I can't say I miss the towing power (the 1500 Ecodiesel was tremendous for that). The Willys is way better to tool around town with, easier to drive...
OP, I had the exact same experience as you, loved the Willys package, loved the look of the OEM MT tire, but hated it on the road (99% of my miles). No way I could live with that, pulled them off at 1K, sold on FB in a day, replaced them with BFG KO2's, 285/70/17 (33" - up 1" from stock MT's)...
Simple - drive them both for a while, there will be differences in how they feel, drivetrain smoothness, engine pull, interior sounds and noises, etc. The differences will be a result of how they were originally built, treated and maintained over the years. If there's a notable difference...
So if you're really interested in this one, why don't you explain to them their price a few days earlier and offer that, or something closer to it? As others said, you can get a good $6-8K off a new 2022. I got a 2022 Willys sticker for 54, bought for 47.
Same here. Emailed him for a quote, 30 minutes later it was a done deal, all paid for, had all the paperwork electronically, about half the price of my local selling dealer. Strongly recommends Tom ??
didn't end up buying these, replaced the OEM 255/75/17 BFG MT's with 285/70/17 BFG KO2's on my stock WIllys wheels. So far so good, vastly improved pavement handling and much quieter
Should I have any concerns about fitting these 392 Recon wheels on my Gladiator Willys? Tires are standard 285/70/17 BFG KO2. Is the offset the same as my stock wheels? My suspension is stock, may consider a leveling kit in the near future. I can buy them for $2,200, they are <100 miles...
It rained heavy the first week I ran these tires in Atlanta, given they were brand new with deep tread, I could drive as fast as I wanted, as if the pavement was dry, no issues at all. My only issue is they are too loud and I don't need the M/T, so going to go with an A/T with quieter treads
Wow, very surprised the 265/70/17 are rubbing at all?? hardly any larger than stock. Is the Sport S stock suspension different than the Willys? Thought they were same, not certain though
