That is all great to hear!
I've never actually bothered checking the actual voltage until this year - figured I should be watching it as it approaches 3-4 years old.
For what it's worth - I have a 4.0L TJ that sits for a literal month and it still fires up without any sort of charger.
ESS is still working - which is even more confusing.
Does the IBS need to be reset at times? Do I just disconnect the negative terminal on the main battery to do so?
On my 23 Overland 3.6L, I've been very mindful of my battery voltage lately.
I've been driving it daily, typically at least 60KM a day on the highway. It has been getting colder, (-10C) but I've noticed that my voltage, while driving, is ALWAYS at 14.5V to 14.9V.
While parked, I have been...
My 23 Overland didn't come with one, but I did add one later (someone was selling a NIB "kit" from MOPAR). I almost never use it - and we do get down to -40C on some rare occasions.
IF I do use it, it's typically when it's -30C or colder for a few days.
Yes - I've done it in every vehicle I've owned. Never had a problem with the several 300k+ KM vehicles I've owned. It only takes seconds for oil pressure to build to operating pressure - verified by manual oil pressure gauges.
Letting a vehicle idle to temp is actually harder on them. Much...
I live where it gets down to -40C at times (although this is rare - typically we see -25C at the lowest).
My procedure:
Unplug block heater (if used - most of the time I don't bother).
Start the engine - turn on the defrost front and rear full blast.
Start seat heaters/steering wheel heater...
You likely can't get these tires, but I run the MotoMaster Eliminator X-Trail A/T. They are seriously amazing - great in the winter, great on the highway, and just great overall. I think they ARE a Cooper tire though.
I double checked - and it, nor the neck, are cross threaded. They do thread together well, but they just don't feel "tight" when it's threaded all the way. There's a little "pop" or "click" when it is almost tight (maybe 1/8 of turn before it is on all the way) if that makes sense, though.
On my 2023 3.6L Overland, I had a bit of a situation today - I parked the vehicle, and coolant started POURING out from the coolant overflow tank. I initially thought that the bottom fitting or tank had cracked, but it turned out (after some investigating) that the cap was "loose."
I've noticed...
I didn't do much to mine for almost a year and a half - only things I did were floor mats, steps (OEM for both), entry guards, and a tonneau cover (and some internal bits - Amazon storage bins).
I've added, since then, Bilstein shocks, 1" level, and Mopar hard tonneau - only things I want now...
Mine has done that two or three times over the 2 years I've owned it - I can't figure it out. No codes and it didn't log any usable information (no misses, etc.).
I don't want to say it's "normal" but I don't know if it's a concern.
Looking for opinions - my rear shocks are shot at 55k KM on my 2023 Overland.
I'm thinking I'd like to replace all four, and am looking for suggestions.
This is a street only vehicle that sees a fair bit of highway travel. I do not have any plans to lift, aside from a leveling puck kit down...
I've been running a BD Diesel Booster for about 8 months - no concerns.
I've always had cable driven vehicles, and I wanted this to give me that '1:1' I am used to, and I seem to get it with the "street" setting.
As an added benefit, I no longer have issues with traction control being too...
That makes sense - so the dealer actually gets paid by Jeep if they do the service? I guess it becomes a bit of a "grey" area of they were to let me have the oil/filter and they don't do the service, but get paid for it.
I've been told that oil changes, as long as I document them, are not a concern for warranty, provided I have the receipts that prove I used the right oil and filter.
I just can't waste time, sitting at the dealership for 2+ hours while they have an entry level tech who may not care about the...
I don't really like the idea of the dealer doing oil changes... I feel much more confident doing them myself (and it's far less of a hassle).
Has anyone had any luck requesting and receiving the oil/filter that would be used during the Wave oil changes rather than having to pay for it? I don't...
I've tried to search for my answers, but it seems like I am struggling to find exactly what I want to know.
1) Would installing JUST the level kit (thinking of the Teraflex 1" kit) void any part of the warranty, typically? I don't plan on changing tires anytime soon.
2) Is there a real world...
I've had that happen twice to me - completely randomly on a cold start, but it didn't sit longer than overnight each time. I have 50k KM on it, and no issues, codes, etc. Not sure what caused it in my case, but hoping to see some feedback here.
