+1 never shut the truck off ‘immediately’ after running it hard. I like what the owners manual posted earlier states if you’re just commuting to work (empty) then don’t worry about it. However if you’re towing or running in the mountains, then yeah give her a couple minutes

OP, seems your issue occurred only after shutting the truck off to get fuel, potentially causing heat soak. Then coupled with the thinner air and increased load from going up hill, while towing, likely overheated the turbo/oil Would recommend just don’t ever shut the truck off during short...

-3.6 will always be cheaper than the ecodiesel, but the lifetime threshold is a couple grand -no ones mentioned that the 3.6 JT on 35s instantly gets you 14mpg; ecodiesel will still be 20s and even better with a tune -those claiming gas can tow better than diesel, I have some land in Florida...
