You are right, 37s look small on it! I’d like to be a fly on the wall when you tell your wife what the price tag will be on 40s! I’d probably leave out a detail or two, like the axel upgrades needed... ?
Good luck!
You my friend are 100% correct but that’s my point. They have a two door already that shares a boat load of parts, going smaller and the cost would be prohibitive and require engineering, safety testing, separate production line etc. That space is already crowded and they’d be stealing buyers...
If you have any kind of lift, a leveling kit in particular you’ll want to adjust them down. EASY to do, was getting flashed myself but since adjusting haven’t had a single issue. Might want to adjust them anyway, could be the factory just didn’t quite get it right.
Don’t know how, Google does…
Buy a Renegade!! Lol Wrangler and Gladiator buyers want a little bigger. The rest have plenty of options.
I drove a 2018 Compass (new body style) for work a few years back. It was a capable little SUV and honestly was great in the snow. Then moved to a 2019 Trailhawk Elite. Loved that car...
Don’t disagree with that @sharpsicle
I wasn’t trying to vilifying them at all. I get the business decision and functionality. The Gladiator is a smaller market and it would take longer to recoup the initial investment.
Not my preference and I know @Bestop has good quality. Hoping to see a...
Part of me wonders if they created a practical solution for Mopar that probably has very tight or shared profit margins that leaves the door open a better looking aftermarket option with much higher margins. They’d be selling them for years even if they wait 3-4 years. Maybe I’m overthinking...
That should look great! I’ve been looking off and on for a takeoff rubi steel bumper myself. I like the idea of color matching it. Post a pick when your done.
A lot of it has to do with how you are with the skinny petal. With Adaptive cruise on (3.6 gas) the HWY & behind a semi going between 65-70 I can make a regular 150 mile drive for business at 24-25 mpg, that’s driving like a very old man! Or, I can go 80 and get 16ish. On average when not...
Good to know, I put inch and a half spacers on my HA. I’ve read comments where people didn’t feel great about gladiators on the HWY, with the spacers I feel really stable at HWY speeds but will be interested to see how a little thicker rubber changes the feel. That said, nobody buys a...
True, does the extra meat on the wheels smooth out the ride a bit on the overland compared to the HA? I currently have the stock wheels on it and when I need to trade out I’m thinking about going to 33” for that reason. Probably a light A/T of some sort that’s more HWY oriented but still gives...
I’d love to see a quality slimmed down option. I’m not a fan of how high in the rear it is and how steep the drop is on the OEM option. Something with more style and some masculinity built into it and I’d be a buyer for sure. When the OEM soft top is up I just don’t think it fits the...
I know about the deadening subfloor options, headliners and fixing windshield gaps. That’s been covered in other posts. My question is about the rubber weatherstripping around the door. There is what looks like an additional track not being used on the bottom half of the door. Is there...
lol, I like the Glock analogy but not all have the same needs my friend. This forum is loaded with “my rubicon’s bigger than yours” posts. Though, let’s not forget about the Mohave fanboys (I’ll admit I qualify!) and the High Altitude ducking haters! I went with a premium priced High Altitude...
Happy wife, happy life.
I have a High Altitude which was the right move for me. You get the wider axels and more standard features, also, the rubicon’s ride on you long trips is going to be less comfortable, the suspension is not built for HWY comfort.
Exactly. My wife has a Land Rover and I catch myself raising two fingers off the steering wheel almost every time I get in it. She just shakes her head at me! ?
