  1. Alpine Premium Audio Worth It?

Having had both. I'd say yes if you're not a bass head. The added options are great. However if you seek perfect balanced sound with loud capabilities I'd go aftermarket.
  2. Subs for gladiator

I pulled my remote power from the cigarette lighter, which I never use. I used a kicker rca signal adapter by taping into the speaker wires in the passnegerside b pillar. Not to difficult.
  3. Subs for gladiator

It's cool..just wanted to make sure you were getting what they can take. I personally was impressed for a $100 sub.
  4. Subs for gladiator

Not to question you or sound rude but do you have it wired to the right ohms? My skarrs hit pretty hard. I've always been a bass head since school and typically went Fosgate but didn't want to spend the money. And they are definitely comparable.
  5. Subs for gladiator

I have the skarr 10 inch shallow subs and the skarr rp1200 watt amp. It hits pretty good and half the price of the jl one.
  6. Subs for gladiator

Brp makes a decent enclosure. Two shallow tens hits pretty hard and takes all of the stress from the factory speakers.
  7. Hitch install?

Yes I do have the curt hitch. I have seen folks with the non rubicon steel bumpers remove the bumper to install its the rubicon steel bumper that's making it more of a challenge. Thanks for the link. I'll do some digging there.
  8. Hitch install?

Do you have a factory steel bumper?
  9. Hitch install?

This is what I'm installing. On my last jt I just drilled the plastic for the top bolt. But just recently got an auto and didn't realize it didn't have the factory hitch until the deal was done. It only take ls 20 minutes if I'd just drill the plastic..I just hated looking at the bolt evertime...
  10. Hitch install?

It's the factory style hitch so I wouldn't be modifying anything. It's three bolts. Two on the back side and one at the top where you would put a ball in the bumper. I Just don't want to look at the bolt and hole at the top right infront of the license plate.
  11. Hitch install?

I'm installing a receiver under the bumper, similar to stock. Really wanting to avoid drilling a hole in the plastic.
  12. Hitch install?

Ahh. From the front it looks like rivits. Interesting. Let's hope I don't break anything.
  13. Hitch install?

I thought of just removing the bumper but the cover still needs to be removed from the steel bumper to expose the hole for the hitch.
  14. Hitch install?

I'll take some pictures in the day light. There are definitely two rivits back there. I just don't know if that's all that's needed to take it off. I'm hoping to not destroy it figuring it out. The instructions I've seen say to drill a hole where the ball pin attaches to the bumper. I'm hoping...
  15. Hitch install?

Has anyone removed just the plastic cover on their steel rubicon bumper? It seems if I drill out the two rivits behind the license plate and remove the plate lights it should lift off. Im really trying to avoid drilling into the plastic to place the large bolt through the top to complete the...
  16. O

Dare to share the reliability issues? Just curious. Mines has been flawless since purchased summer of 19.
  17. Too much amp, Not enough power...

I used the extra space on the terminal post connector and never messed with the main post. It shows 12 volts not running and 14.8 running with nothing on. Between 14.8 and 13.7 with the radio up pretty decent. I'm thinking the added draw of the amp, cabin heater fan and the powersteering. I'm...
  18. Too much amp, Not enough power...

I do have a volt meter but not able to observe it while driving. Power wire and ground wire are 4 gauge and cut to length. Ground is to bare metal at the body. No amp wine or other noise. The jeeps battery gauge in the main screen shows 14 +Amps. Thats what led me to belive its just from...
  19. Too much amp, Not enough power...

I don't really understand it either. But its happened twice and only when its turned up for a while. I know it doesn't help I don't drive it much. I'm guessing the powersteering has some sort of protection from low voltage or the battery is failing.
