no need. its a dual voice coil 4ohm wired to 2 ohms at the amp. Im not trying to get to one ohms bc the amp cant handle it.

It's cool..just wanted to make sure you were getting what they can take. I personally was impressed for a $100 sub.

100% i am impressed with my 79 dollar subs (79 each), but i cant compare them to the tw3 jl. thats all i meant. If my amp was one ohm stable, id have gotten the dual 2ohm and they may have been punchier. I think my biggest issue is my old cheap amp. Again, my system achieves what i want and could probably take more.

the skar subs impressed me very much, but I dont have the same setup as my type'r alpines back in the day. You could hear me two miles away. hit a legal 146.8db when metered....so comparing to what I have now.....not even in the same league.

yours is awesome, but those rounded edges look like a pain for the normal non woodworker. haha

I've never built anything out of wood before this...I just went out and bought a router and figured out how to use it.
90% of the box was built using a flush trim bit and a round over bit

What is everyone running as a DSP, for those who didn't change their head unit? I'm new to this world, so i'm a little slow on the uptake. I had a 12in JL in a custom box with a 250W amp and an LC7i in my JLU before i traded it in for my JT. But can't really use any of it now, except for maybe the amp and LC7i. But i want to go bigger in my truck!

I have the PAC adapter going to the Kicker Key 200.4 with built in DSP and it also feeds signal to an 800x1 kicker sub amp.

I pulled my remote power from the cigarette lighter, which I never use. I used a kicker rca signal adapter by taping into the speaker wires in the passnegerside b pillar. Not to difficult.

i purchased a cheap LOC off amazon, tapped into the rear speakers on the passenger B trim and im done. Remote wire was off the cigarette lighter.

If I ever go more power, ill change out my head unit too.
