I would have gone with this is they offered a two 10 box that went the full width. Fox has great reviews on their boxes.
Yep, I had their dual 10" enclosure for my JK and it absolutely slammed. I would have preferred 2 10's as well but I'm satisfied with the current setup. The 5 channel amp really pushes the sub well and has my 3.5's & 4's screaming. The Linkswell head unit also sends a pretty clear signal compared to the factory 7" screen.

Brp makes a decent enclosure. Two shallow tens hits pretty hard and takes all of the stress from the factory speakers.

That box is my backup plan in case i can't get this one behind the seat to work. I wanted to avoid giving up the under seat storage as much as possible.

What amp and subs are you using? Thinking about that box and two 10s as well. considering a 5 channel amp so i can upgrade other speakers down the line.

You were only running a single 10 off that 5-channel amp right? Considering running the 5-channel amp with 2 10s. It just seems easier, but i'm worried it won't have the power. Although, I had a JL 12'' in my JL (lol) that was running a dedicated 250W amp and it seemed fine so one would assume 500W dedicated to two 250 RMS Subs would be fine too? IDK enough about all this stuff to make an educated decision though.

Well it's a cheap Boss amp so I don't know if I believe the power rating. I went with 3700 watts because I know that they overstate power numbers on almost all amps but especially the cheaper versions. I don't know for sure if it would push two 10's or not but my guess is that it would. It works perfectly for my setup with my only complaint being that it does overheat if I turn it up for long periods of time. I've experienced this before on sub amps which is annoying but not the end of the world...however, on a 5 channel, if it overheats you lose all of your speakers which sux.

I have the skarr 10 inch shallow subs and the skarr rp1200 watt amp. It hits pretty good and half the price of the jl one.

yours is awesome, but those rounded edges look like a pain for the normal non woodworker. haha
Do you have a band saw, or a drum sander?
If not it can still be done on normal equipment if you have some time. This sort of thing was done years ago before power tools became common.
Get in contact with a local woodworkers guild, for us we have Woodsmith Store handy and tons of woodworkers in the area for the non-woodworker sort.
If you were close I'd say bring the materials over and use my big band saw and sander, if you wanted to get fancy with the joinery, there's the router table.........

I put a groundshakers box off ebay with two skar shallow mount tens in it.

The box is built for the jl tw3, that sub is more than im currently wanting. Powered by a cheapie 1500w amp (yeah right, more likely 500 rms if im lucky).

I just dont want to hear wind noise with the doors off and the jbl front corner dash upgrades, mb quarts 6x9 sound bar upgrade, and the subs make that happen.......but im also not shaking homes driving through my neighborhood.

Not to question you or sound rude but do you have it wired to the right ohms? My skarrs hit pretty hard. I've always been a bass head since school and typically went Fosgate but didn't want to spend the money. And they are definitely comparable.

It hits hard, it’s just not what I used to run. I have them wired to 2 ohms.

Im happy with my subs. I’ll have to proofread my comment. I think my skars could take more actually.

a multimeter can measure the ohms for you.

It's cool..just wanted to make sure you were getting what they can take. I personally was impressed for a $100 sub.

A multimeter will get you close but it can't read impedance, that takes some expensive equipment. A lot of 8 ohm speakers can read anywhere from 5 to 10 ohms on a multimeter and 4 ohm speakers can measure 3 to 5 ohms, all depending on mfr and design.

He’s going for one ohm, it will tell him at least if it’s wired correctly or in 8
