Have to give you props. This may be the rarest thing I've ever seen on the internet...a seemingly sincere apology. Hang in there homie, you'll be Jeepin' again in no time!!
Didn't measure for height but it would have probably been noticeable (.25"-.5") had my springs not been bowing so badly. That was the only part from Metalcloak that I've ever been dissatisfied with.
I got creative last night and found that a 1/4" drive ratchet with a 5/32 socket does the trick without having to remove them. It made the adjustment simple.
I have the Ecodiesel and so the fuse box is ~2" from the passenger headlight and the air box is 1" from the driver. The blinker connectors are in the same locations and were pretty rough t0 get to. The bumper is ~.5" from the grille.
Ecodiesel? I did the install yesterday and had the same complaints. I had to remove the air intake on the driver side to adjust and didn't even bother on the passenger side. Add into the mix the Smittybilt Stryker bumper and I had to pretty much disassemble my entire front end to install them...
Everything you stated is completely true and when it comes down to it, I think that's why Wranglers are still selling like hotcakes and Gladiators are not. I did not feel this way until today when they didn't add the 4XE trim to the available models. The hybrid engine would be the most...
The Gladiator appears to be history. Looking at it objectively, the Gladiator may have introduced some new folks to the brand but the majority of people who purchased them (IMO) moved from a Wrangler JK. One of the reasons that new JT's aren't selling is that a lot of people sold them when the...
I ran the 4.5" plush springs and Bilstein B8 5160 2" piggyback shocks on my gas rig and have the 6.5" hd springs and King 2.5" rr/piggybacks on my ecodiesel. It's hard to compare just the springs due to the different shocks but the hd springs/King shocks combo is defintely a better ride than...
I daily drive and moderately off road with 40's and 3.73's. It drives like a dream...not quite as much pep as stock tires but still moves pretty quick. I had money set aside to re-gear and opted not to do it.
Thanks! Evo 6.5" HD springs. I gained 8" initially but the bumper/winch has dropped it a little bit. I've got a .75" spacer to install but I'm honestly a little scared to mess with anything since it hasn't had any issues. I fought DW for 30k miles on my '20.
I'm assuming that you flipped your drag link along with your front track bar relocation brackets. After a lot of heartache on my last rig doing pretty much exactly what you're doing now, I found that the CA brackets, track bar brackets and drag link flip made all of the difference in...
I live about 45 mins from the location of this event and have been to it many times. I stopped going 4 years ago after having a bad experience. The main issue as I see it is that the infrastructure is entirely insufficient for this massive influx of people. Bolivar Peninsula is a vacation...
