I texted my normal mechanic. He said $700 (parts + labor). Needless to say I wont be having the dealer do this. I'm also going to send a letter to Christian Meunier- who is listed as the Jeep North American CEO.
Yeah- my 6 year old really isn’t like that. She likes cutting paper but that’s about it. The other problem is that I rarely drive the jeep and my kids ride in it even less. There also aren’t sharp scissors sitting around either. Either a stranger got into the car and cut both belts or it’s...
So here is the update. The dealer finally looked at it and their conclusion is that the seatbelts were cut. Which makes no sense to me. They want me to pay the $1200 to get the whole thing fixed. If what they say is true- someone broke into my car and cut the belts-- wanting to do harm to me...
I tried to make an appointment at my local dealer toddy but they don’t even answer their phone anymore. I also put in a request on the Stellantis website. Hopefully I’ll hear something soon.
Nor have I. Its also very scary. Had I been in an accident in the past- the belt would've failed since before it fully ripped- it must have been degraded. My 6 year old could've been seriously injured or killed.
So... i think i ripped in 1 of 2 places. Below is a diagram i found online. The red circle is where the potential rip occurred. I feel like it is prob more likely that it ripped where the strap attaches to the spring retracting device.. but i really have no idea because all of this is behind...
I really don’t think it was my kids. The car sits locked in the driveway most of the time. The area on the belts also look frayed not cut.
I’ll call the dealer today.
I have 1 booster seat on the drivers side and a full car seat on the passenger side that uses the quick latch belts. The seat belt itself was rarely used.
My 6 year old got in the car today, sat on her booster seat and told me the seat belt was broken. I went to look and sure enough it was...
Has anyone ever heard of the rear seat belts ripping on gladiators? All of the sudden both rear belts (right and left) ripped without warning. I dont use the truck often- so it’s possible it happened awhile ago and i just noticed when i put my kids in the back seat. I have 2020 Rubicon. No...
Just wondering if you guys had any problems getting the bolts into the bed. It seems like the factory bed liner gummed up the holes and I cant get the JCS supplied bolts to go in. I read on another thread that some folks have used a threading tap to clear things out?
Hi Guys- Im new to the forum and considering the Mopar lift for my new Gladiator Rubicon. It seems that some folks run the Mopar kit right out of the box without any additional parts while others add things an adjustable track bar. Is there any "right" answer here? Or is it more personal...
eternus/Jody- Thanks so much for creating that awesome google sheet. I'm thinking of buying a new Gladiator and having that info in excel format is sweet. A lot easier that the PDF version. I've always bought my cars used in the past so my interaction with dealerships has been minimal. Have...
