I hear you about having to rebuild and that has kept me from doing anything as of yet, however, I have considered trading mine in for diesel JTR, with the JTR I could just slap my 35's back on and call it a day. Plus my fuel economy would be MUCH better. I came from a Duramax Canyon and I do...
I have geo brackets as well...interesting. I also had my suspension completely reinstalled by a reputable suspension shop due to a cluster from the local dealer install...I made a post a while ago about that CF. It would be cool if you end up finding the issue. Ill certainly be watching this...
Hootbro may be on to something. I have a daystar puck on the front along with the mopar lift as well and it creaks every time I accelerate. Like backing out the driveway, or just moving so the front suspension is flexed. Been doing it for a year now and Ive had every thing greased that can...
I used Dana/Spicer gears.
As for the proper gearing, you are using a 6 speed that Im only familiar with due to this forum and 38's so BFT's! LOL Hopefully someone with that setup will chime in as well.
Edit; didn't see cgflyers post prior to mine.
I set mine with a JScan to 4.56, I also had to go to 33.25" to get the phone App and Speedo to jive.
I tested the App in my stock Grand Cherokee to ensure it was accurate.
Interesting, I’m guessing you are running true 35’s??
I’m running 315/70-17’s with 4.56 and my RPM’s at 65mph seem to be what yours are showing at 75mph? Around 2100 rpm
Seems odd
Went in to service department last week and they confirmed steering bad, ordered part and it came in 5 days later. My appointment to replace is April 15th.
Guess we will see
For those of you with the 3.0, I love this thread. Loved my duramax and plan on getting a JTD when I can which will be a couple years at least.
By the way, motortend are idiots... they are probably all still looking for that magical spool of flight line
@Gren71
Coming from 3.73 the 4.56 are awesome. I do feel confident if I had 4.10’s I would have stayed with them.
Best I could figure with the tires I have and the gearing I must be about 50rpm more at say 60-70 mph than a Max tow stock? Using the gearing calculator that’s been posted on...
@Gren71
See that’s the kicker... I only saw 17mpg stock with 3.73’s.
My last tank was actually 17mpg. But that may be due to warmer temps/summer gas?
I have never seen some of the mpgs that are posted in this forum that’s for sure
It does pull my tandem trailer better... It will actually...
I took mine in and the told me they had a TSB concerning the radio but the TSB stated the update has not been released yet. At least they acknowledged there is a TSB out there......
