You could throw gussets into the soft-top. Then figuring out how to limit road noise would be an issue, since you've got fabric flapping. On top of that, you'd have to figure out the folding mechanism...
I got it installed over Easter, and then it's pretty much been sitting in the driveway ever since. Work's been pretty busy, so I haven't been able to do much. So, only things I can really say is that install was easy, it is watertight, and it makes the soft top quieter on the highway.

The sides roll up and are secured with zippers, so as long as there isn't a sideways rain, they should be covered with that setup (especially if they're crated back there). I'd assume they'll also fare well if you just have the front of the panels unzipped and the back window off.
I got mine in over the weekend. The front window does not come out.
I also took measurements once I installed it, but I don't remember exactly what they were. I think it was 22.5" from the front rail to the top of the first bow and ~23.5" for the middle two bows. I'll double check today...
From my understanding, changing the system to think you have (factory) LED headlights changes the resistance it's looking for. Since the Oracle lights were designed to be halogen replacements, making the switch might throw a bunch of error codes.
