This is Jeep #5 for my wife and me. Started with a 1985 CJ7 Rag-top, then upgraded it to hardtop and doors. Big difference, but still noisy enough to talk louder or turn up the CD! Then I bought a 1993 ZJ Grand Cherokee, very quiet and my friend called it the Wilderness Limo. Bought a 2004...
Installed a Bulletpoint on the driver's side dash. Works great! Link below:

Replaced the serpentine belt at 83k miles today. Gates belt and took about 45 minutes. It was easier to unbolt the alternator and the idler bracket. Kept the tensioner down using a 1/2” breaker bar using a ratcheting cargo strap around the track bar to the end of the breaker bar with a vise...
There are 2 magnets in the OEM tranny pan. Both magnets had super fine metal particles was for me is normal. No other metal pieces were found. Used the original pan gasket too. It was in very good condition to reuse.
I don’t know if that PPE tranny drain plug would work on a 3.6 oil pan. I installed a
Stahlbus oil drain valve plug M14x1.5x12mm for my engine oil changes. I have seen magnetic drain plugs and believe you should be able to find one online. I had thought about a magnetic oil drain plug but opted...
Put on Method MR703 +25mm wheels, Flat Black. Running BFG KO3 285/75/17. Did the tranny oil change (at 75,000 miles) and then replaced the pan with a PPE Pan. Gotta love that it has a magnetic drain plug now……
Pack rats are notorious for chewing up engine compartment insulation and wires here in AZ! My Camry, $3600(insulation) and the family Roadtrek(Sprinter Van) $1800, chewed the fuel pump wires off. Built a nest with pieces of cholla on top of the diesel tank. Miserable little bastards!
Thanks for that info Lostwing. Good to know.
The ESS is disabled via Tazer. I do occasionally perform a full reboot(x2) of the Tazer once every 4 months or so. A couple of times noticed the license plate lights were on while in reverse. The reboot restored the lights off while in reverse.
I did the same thing this evening. I had the”Start/Stop” service icon come on and from reading on this forum, decided to fully remove the Aux battery, tape up both Aux battery cables, stuff both back in the Aux box, put in Autozone Platinum H7, pulled the 42 fuse, started the JTW, and...
I have the same one. Wife complained that she got a dose of front end wobble. Not bad, but I checked all the steering parts and found that the same bolt in this thread had come loose. Pulled the whole stabilizer out, used some loctite and tightened it. Reinstalled and no problem since. And that...
Apologies for the late reply. RWL seems to be the only offering for most of the new tire sizes from BFG. You can web search for a tire size calculator which will provide you with tire specs. I ordered my KO3s through Tires.com(Discount Tires) and got $80 off a set 4. That runs till 8/27/2024...
