A buddy of mine always thought that American general should have capitalized on that..
"H2... Because every man deserves a good hummer...".
Well, maybe not but it would certainly have had people talking.
Its a rubber plug in a 1 inch hole ... Takes 1 minute per side ...
Its no problem really ... It takes longer to install the rear matts as they have to connect together and that can be a minor hassle ...
Spoken by a lucky person who lives out west ... So, you can head east from Kalifornia and run 80 and sometimes 100 ? You have my envy sir ... Id take the car too ... The Jeep, she aint so good above 70 ...
Out here in the Midwest, I have Illinois to the west, Ohio to the right, Michigan...
I guess I must be dumb but as a proud member of the (people who don't work for FCA club), I have to ask,
How can it possibly make sense that this events aren't logged?
Were they not logged because you already read them or do they not survive a power cycle?
It seems like it should. Am I...
Well, yeah, I'd imagine that my wife may look unfavorably on that.
Yeah, I have a wife and 3 great kids so I'm off the market or should I say the market is unavailable to me.
But ya know it's nice to be given some attention even if just an "I like your jeep".
Just funny how stuff doesn't...
This stuff never happened to me when it mattered. I'm always 20 years off.
When I was 20 going through that checkpoint I'd have had the 60 year old nasty biotsch telling me that my license plate is 1 inch off, and my buddy in the lane next to me would have had this beautiful girl.
Now that...
Where is this again? I hate checkpoints but I may make an exception in this case.
"Are you sure all of my paperwork is in order? Maybe check again. Just talk to me some more."
My car is fast, my truck is slow and I am just happy to be moving at all.
Glad this got fixed.
Good connections are better than bad ones.
Happy new year.
I truly enjoy this forum.
The rear seat back is a thin plastic or composite material of some kind. I can't tell as it is covered in a carpet material.
If you just take some short fat sheet metal type screws (pointy and only 1/2 inch long or so) (do not need to be self tapping), place the mount plate where you want and...
Consider ON the back seat ... It gives you a perfect place to set a laptop if you ever need to when programming by just putting the seat down.
Worked well for me ...
I had not seen that product before now ... Very nice ... I did look at another overhead product that required drilling and I didnt want to do that ...
Honestly, I do like the over head thing too and if I had to mount a full radio (not just a faceplate like the FTM400) I would have done...
They are great and sturdy mounts. They have 4 more mount holes in case you wanted to self tap some more screws in.
Honestly, the thing is sturdy enough with the one bolt to handle a 60 inch antenna.
Home depot has the plasti dip in cans so you can actually dip as opposed to spray.
I Dipped...
Motor biscuit is a third rate click chasing media house run by Starbucks swilling first year marketing grads sitting on exercise balls in some loft somewhere.
As I read this, it is an article that leverages another article. So, someone else does the work and these boobs write some slop...
Radio behind rear seat, topsy hood mount, diamond antenna.
Highly recommend this antenna as it does not need a ground and jeeps are remarkably scarce in that area.
Dipped the mount In plasti dip. Took 4 dips. Has a nice clean look.
OK, here are a few pics. I also recommend getting the thin coax pre-made 13 foot cable that diamond antenna sells. It is pricy but it works great, is thin and easy to route, and it is the exact perfect length.
The antenna mount is from topsy products and works perfect. More than strong enough...
Just completed. I'll send pics later today.
Yaseu ftm400xdr. Diamond half wave mobile. Perfect antenna for a jeep as it does not require a ground plane.
Stand by and I'll post some stuff.
