  1. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Well, I installed and wired up my off-road lights on my bumper this morning. Basically Jeep Jewelry because I can't think of the last time I went 4-wheeling at night....but now I can if I want (that's the logic that you have to use to justify...) It could've went way faster than what it took...
  2. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Today I took delivery of my Grimm Off-Road light bracket for the OEM steel bumper. It's quite beefy and it will not flex. No drilling needed. I like it. My plan is to install 5" round LED's and use one of them handy-dandy pre-installed aux switches. Got it late today, hopefully I can...
  3. What's your first Jeep memories

I grew up with Willys (not Jeeps) and I posted elsewhere about this pic, but these are my first. My Dad gave me the 1954 Willys M38A1 (right) when I was 14 under the condition I get it running, on my own without help, before I got my learners permit at age 16. I did, he gave it to me. The...
  4. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

That's again where I got lucky. I am on my wife's insurance until I turn 65. She retired from an oil and gas company after 38 years after the company sold out. They had incredible benefits as all oil and gas do. They were self insured, our cost for medical, dental and vision was 120 bucks a...
  5. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

I got lucky. I retired at age 64, I'll be 65 this coming April. Now I have to figure out all that Medicare crap....
  6. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Well, dear Jeepers, grab a stump and have a seat, ol' Mud Pie is about to ramble....a drink of choice is befitting, be it alcoholic or not. Alcohol will make this go down easier.... When I retired, it's often said that you have time on your hands. You do; 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I'm...
  7. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Well, yesterday I finally put on the rock slider side steps, replacing my OEM rock sliders. Verdict ? "Eh.". I put them on for my wife and Mother-in-Law, I'm not a fan of steps or running boards, but that's just me. The ad claimed they hugged the body better than the competition being they...
  8. 2026 Gladiator Whitecap Announced

True story: When I moved from Long Island to Texas, Long Island temperatures was in the teens. The morning after I moved, I stepped outside to smoke (I smoked back then). The temps were in the low 60's. I put on shorts/T-shirt/flip-flops and went to the store. It was fabulous. Texans...
  9. 2026 Gladiator Whitecap Announced

I'm showing my age here, but I remember back when all CJ's had black windshield frames and black metal hard tops. Didn't matter what the body color was. It sorta reminded me of Henry Ford when he was asked about car colors, "You can have any color you want, as long as it's black.". I kinda...
  10. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

For reference, the original Mud Pie, the 1954 Willys M38A1 on the right. Unfortunately you can't see where some G.I. painted Mud Pie on the windshield frame. I bought that 1953 CJ-3A for 250 bucks when I was 17. Bought a gallon of military surplus semi-gloss OD green and painted it with my...
  11. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

I replaced my hood decals with some that are more "Jeepish" for lack of a better word. The original stencil military-type font was okay, but the more "Jeepish" font really stands out. This time I made it all one word, Mudpie, instead of two proper. I thought the gap would look odd.
  12. 2026 Gladiator Whitecap Announced

To me, they may as well put "I identify as a Toyota FJ Cruiser" decal on the tailgate, that color scheme is a direct rip-off.
  13. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

I HATE it when they give you cheap screws !! I've developed the habit of treating those screws almost like a tap and die set when screwing into plastic. Turn the screw, back it off, turn the screw some more, back it off, keep going, basically slowly cutting threads into the plastic. Stupid...
  14. Let's see your setups!

Went camping last weekend, the Jeep towed that little 17' Casita camper like it wasn't even there. MPG didn't suffer greatly either, I got 18.6 mpg
  15. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Well, my new Binary Star curved side steps came in yesterday. I really, really, really wanted power running boards, but I also really, really, really like having money in my account. I'm putting them on for my wife and mother-in-law because I'm not really a fan of side steps/running boards. I...
  16. Hot Wheels Elite 64 Mod Shop ’24 Jeep Gladiator (1:64 scale diecast model)

I wish you could get them without the decals applied. I like to repaint them in my vehicles color. So far I have models of my Willys MB (a VERY common model to find...), my Suzuki Samurai, my VW Westfalia Campermobile, my smart passion cabriolet. I went so far as to go to the VW dealership to...
  17. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

My Renegade was black. One thing about black vehicles. When they are clean, they sure are pretty. I could wash/wax mine and it gleamed. Leave it in the driveway overnight, when you walk out, you're like "What happened ??". All that work for naught. And HOT. I live in Texas where it get's...
  18. Main battery and Aux Battery replacement write up

No shame thrown from me. I've replaced brakes on all my (and my family) vehicles since I was like 10 years old (seriously. My flashlight-holding gig didn't last long with MY Dad...). A few years ago, my wife's 2005 Jeep Liberty was in the shop to get a leaky oil pressure module replaced. I...
  19. Went Camping This Weekend....

It was a pretty simple check, actually. He opened each door then ran his fingers along the seam where the outer door metal skin was rolled over the inside metal of the door. You can visually see the welds. If there is ANY bubbling effect, there's your issue. He added all dealers "should be...
