I'd be wanting about half of that amount in further discount. The dealer will say these fees are non negotiable and they are probably pre printed on the buyers order. But the price isn't!!
Bottom line for me: the April incentives are not enough to motivate me to buy. Possibly even without the current economy issues. I feel like Jeep will have to do more if they want to move inventory right now.
My WAG is a credit score of 700 or better, or whatever score the lender decides to go with at that moment as a limiter.
A person with a lower rating may need to pay more to 'quality', if I'm being cynical.
I'll put it this way: Zero financing will in no way affect the price I pay for the vehicle. My money, my choice. Which I guess is why I still don't have a JT, lol!
Uh, what?? When we bought our FCA product in 2015, we negotiated the price. It was also an interest free loan. One was nothing to do with the other (but buyer beware, as always).
When I'm offered free money, I listen . . .
They were gathering dust even before the downturn.
Not gonna say that I expect them to discontinue the JT, but I wouldn't be surprised. Go back to cranking out Wranglers. An MSRP adjustment was needed even before this mess hit, IMO. Without a vaccine and/or treatment for C-19, don't expect...
Let's not overlook the fact that the JTR has twice (7000 lbs) the towing capability as the JL. People that don't use the JT for towing tend to forget the towing aspect. I still say many folks tend to think of the JT as an improved Scrambler, not as an actual truck (including many dealers).
