    Well the insert is supposed to replace the one that comes with it, that person simply put it behind the original grill. It's supposed to look like this I suppose it would reduce airflow, although I don't plan on doing any major towing or anything.

    Does anyone know if a flag grill insert will work with the front trail cam? I think it might cause issues because it looks like the front trail cam is actually mounted to the grille insert that comes stock.

    Just a guess but it looks like the maximus 3 (your favorite one) bolts in where the front skid plate bolts on. Also it says this in the description Designed specifically for the 2018+ JL Rubicon Steel Front Bumpers. Direct bolt-on application

    I believe that is a rubber strip material to put between the body and the fender flares to avoid getting rocks stuck in it. See attached video.
