  1. Stereo upgrade

I have these in the front dash, sound way better than stock in my 2023 Mojave. I actually just received another pair that I was going to install in the soundbar tomorrow. I noticed they just dropped the price $20 like you said. I wonder if they will give me that discount if I call them, I...
  2. Keep the mud on your tires NOT your sound system.

For me the highs are not too much at all. That will vary from person to person as to be expected. But I leave it flat and love the sound, but then again I am 56 years old, and over the years they have heard a lot of very loud music and movies in my home theaters..
  3. Keep the mud on your tires NOT your sound system.

Yes, I am talking about the REF307F’s. I just installed them and they sound great compared to the stock Alpine “upgraded” system/speakers. Clean highs and clear midrange. Using an SPL meter, they also averaged 1-2dB higher than the stock speakers. Very happy with them. The OP is right, if you...
  4. Speaker upgrades?

I installed the Infinity Reference REF307F 3.5” in the dash of my 2023 JTM and they sound great compared to the stock speakers of the Alpine “upgraded” system. However, I am also considering replacing the overhead speakers, but I really do not make all the modifications necessary to install...
  5. Why is it so hard to find a subwoofer box for these things?

You got it.. I just saw that they have a single 10” with amp combo (much smaller cabinet though), and it has storage for half of the seat for $720, not a bad deal.. I like the idea of keeping some storage under the seat. It may be in my future, depends on how long I can put up with the muddy...
  6. Why is it so hard to find a subwoofer box for these things?

Two 10” Rockford subwoofer drivers with enclosure for under $600. All that is needed is a amplifier, not bad! https://brpautodesigns.com/jeep-gladiator-subwoofer-box-and-subwoofer-combo/?setCurrencyId=1&sku=JGS10
  7. Keep the mud on your tires NOT your sound system.

Agreed, knowing those specs would make it a hell of a lot easier.. One of the reasons I hate dealing with OEM equipment. I am hopeful that the Infinity’s will at least match the level of the factory Alpines up front. If not, Crutchfield has an excellent return policy. It will be interesting to...
  8. Keep the mud on your tires NOT your sound system.

Absolutely! I just always like to have a baseline though, just me.. But how it sounds is most important, without doubt.. When I used to be a CI in the Home AV field, I dealt with many people that knew what they liked as far as audio, and it always came down to the sound they heard, which...
  9. Keep the mud on your tires NOT your sound system.

Yeah, and there is a reason because the specs suck.. 6x9 OEM speakers don’t show the specs either... Quality audio components are not OEM, period.. For me I’d rather spend an extra $35 and know what I am getting.. ?
  10. Keep the mud on your tires NOT your sound system.

Agree to disagree then.. In all my audio buying and installing over the past 40+ years (home and auto) I have never bought anything without referencing the detailed specs beforehand.. Then after I do plenty of research, I let my ears do the deciding.. I just don’t trust OEM products, even if...
  11. Keep the mud on your tires NOT your sound system.

It may be a neodymium magnet, but the whole speaker structure looks pretty cheap.. It may sound fine, but I would hazard a guess that other speakers like the infinity reference line, will produce a better and more balanced overall sound... I’ve been into home audio/theater for over 4 decades...
  12. Keep the mud on your tires NOT your sound system.

I’m going to do this mod, but not with the HK speakers. Like I mentioned in an earlier post, those HK speakers from mopar look kind of cheap, tiny little magnet, etc. (even at $65/pair), though I am sure they sound better than the stock Alpines because they have a tweeter. The ones from Terra...

So you had the 10” Rockville, and the 8” Pyle was much better? That says a lot. Did you ever consider the 10” Kicker sub? Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll order one on Amazon and give it a shot..
  14. Kicker Hideaway 46H10 or the Rockville SS10P 10” subwoofer?

Any thoughts on which 10” subwoofer to put behind the drivers side backseat to add to the existing factory Alpine subwoofer? The Kicker is $333 and the Rockville is $140 on Amazon.. Both have good reviews, but I’m thinking the Kicker is probably not $200 “better”..
  15. Keep the mud on your tires NOT your sound system.

Cool, I’ll be interested in hearing what you think.. I’m also thinking about getting another subwoofer instead of just the stock Alpine subwoofer. Looking at either the Kicker Hideaway 46H10 or the Rockville SS10P 10” subwoofers to put behind the drivers side back seat. Both look to have similar...
  16. Keep the mud on your tires NOT your sound system.

Those HK speakers from mopar look kind of cheap, though I am sure they sound better than the stock Alpines because they have a tweeter. The ones from Terra Acoustics look really nice, but $249 (with custom tweeter ring), is kind of steep for a pair of 3.5” car speakers.. I think I am going to...
  17. Keep the mud on your tires NOT your sound system.

When I clicked the link it only gives me the options for 2020 and 2021 Gladiators. Wondering if they will fit for my 2023 Mojave? I tried to do a search on the Mopar website and didn’t come up with anything..
  18. Snow Plow

I had a custom 4x4 fabricator install my front receiver hitch on my Mojave. I was going to do it but with the shock reservoirs mounted right on the backside of the skid plate, I didn’t want to screw anything up. He was able to not only cut the hole perfectly, but he modified/reinforced the Curt...
  19. Snow Plow

Thank you for the response! 110# is less than half the weight of the one I was looking at.. I see it has a rubber cutting edge so it won’t scratch our pavers too (so I won’t need the wheels on the bottom of the blade). This one looks like a no brainer for my situation.. Thanks again!
  20. Snow Plow

Great, thanks! We will likely get the Curt, I like the idea of having a winch in the future..
