Resale value should hold up on the Gladiator enough that, a year or 2 from now you’d be able to move on without losing much. Maybe you’ll you’ll just find yourself trading the 3.6 for a diesel or hybrid
My Jeep was at the dealer before I had a chance to worry about the build sheet....which is nice because I received no email updates at all. Just the window sticker in the Jeep when I picked it up
I came down to the same realization: equipped Sport S was almost the same price as the Rubicon I wanted. Got the Rubi. As you have them optioned, I’d get the Rubicon just for CarPlay and Lockers. Depending on how you mod (or don’t), you have the added advantage of the 33” tires, rock-rails, and...
One problem you’ll run into is street legality. In many states you can’t legally put an older engine into a vehicle due to emissions and CAFE standards. Also, the tech is so embedded with sensors throughout that are required for operation...I don’t know where you’d be able to stop and leave the...

:movember:Because not a single one of those people is worried about how much FUN he can have with a new car every year. They want to make him more money...not throw it into cars.
Eddie, the last 2 Wranglers we traded in played out like this:
2013 JKU Sport, paid $28k in July of 2012. Traded after 3 years w/45k miles for $26,500
2014 JKU Sport, paid $27,500 June of 2013. Traded in 10/19 2/80k miles for $21k.
I think you’ll do just fine...but beware falling in love with...
That’s a lot of algebra, but it ignores basic arithmetic. He’s only investing $50k the FIRST year, with the expectation that he’d get at least $41500 on trade and supplement with another $8500ish each year.
If the dude is in his 30’s and retired and able to write a check for $50k, I don’t...
With a Wrangler or Gladiator you will do just fine. I think you understand that there is always risk involved, but the odds are probably on your favor. Historically, having watched Jeep values pretty closely over the past 15 years, the Wrangler models depreciate very little in the first 3...
JKS was, by far, one of my favorite brands...right up until they sold out and went for parts commonality with BDS and Zone...and then prices went way up too
Fab Fours could be used as an economic indicator. As long as they stay in business, Americans are doing well.
The rest of this glide system makes me wish I was sitting on a pile of money big enough to trickle down
They’re plastic and don’t manage contact well. Increase space for bigger tires, but I’ve seen them deformed and torn off Jeeps with fairly minor contact. MCE hasn’t unveiled their flares yet, but for those wanting plastic, it’s a much better option, IMO.
Meh, I don’t like the aesthetic of the rear bumpers or flares, but they aren’t as bad as some of the other stuff out there. That whole front facade, however, is so bad that I hope it’s a joke, an over-the-top spoof of Fab Fours. It’s like the Dark Helmet character from Space Balls
I love the front clip....maybe if paired with the Cherokee Topper that Bob rendered...otherwise, I just don’t think the body lines of the Gladiator match it.
