Sorry, it's in my signature but it has a 1.5" TeraFlex Leveling kit (coil spacers) and 37" tires. There wasn't any 'extreme' articulation but I had the sway bar disconnected and did not have any rubbing.
So I took a trip to VA, did the Peter Mill Run/Taskers Gap trail, headed down Skyline Drive, and came back to Frederick MD on Rt29/15. Some 75mph interstate driving, some 5mph 4WD-Low, and lots of ~60mph driving with some stop lights. Averaged 22mpg for the weekend. It seems like the mileage...
Has anyone found an inner fender liner for EcoDiesel? I know American Adventure Labs has theirs and I love the fit finish and quick release but I'm not trying to spend $700+ on a set of fender liners. I have the AAL fender chop light bracket but can't run without fender liners here in the East...
It was the easiest thing. The hard part is putting in the bump stops. Just really awkward. If you have a Diesel like me, you will need a shorter bolt than provided. A hex wrench set for a ratchet would really make it easier. Make sure you jack it up high enough that the axel has room to...
It has a 1.5" Teraflex leveling coil spacer. No rubbing at full lock even on a moderate diagonal incline. But I will be installing highline fenders to provide extra clearance before detaching sway bars and getting flexed out.
JTR Eco Diesel
500 miles
Ave 25mpg in mixed driving
stock wheels
Falken MT 33”
Expecting better after some more break in time.
Then worse after the 37s get here.
@kclendaniel said this in another thread: “There are some new noises with the gen3 engine I did notice (coolant re-circulation pump for the turbo on shutdown?)”
I have no idea what it is but it is Noticeable!
HAHAHA! Glad that you are familiar with the EcoDiesel. Coming from a 1997 12v Cummins, this is the quietest thing in the world. HA!
The auto tart/Stop does have to go!! Getting a Tazer Mini so that I can turn that off, recalibrate for 37s and a bunch of other things. One thing I wish I had...
JTRD here. 37s will be here tomorrow. Should have some answers soon. Need to get a good baseline mpg on stock tires before putting the big shoes on tho.
Well as far as I can tell @kclendaniel and I got the first 2. In one week I’ve put about 150 miles of mixed driving. Ave mpg is around 25 but that’s a lot of running around and little actual highway.
It is a lot quieter than I expected. Exhaust at idle is nearly silent. It holds gears well...
Congrats!!
I really wanted to do this but I hate being on camera and too impatient. EcoDiesel mods, so far:
1.5” TeraFlex leveling kit
BuiltRight bed rails and bed side MOLLE panels.
Bullet Proof phone and GoPro dash mount
Tomorrow:
Tazer mini
37x13.50 STT Pros
17” DirtyLife DT-2
3/4” rear...
Hey fam, StingGray guy lurking over here. Love my color but had a thought for black with gold accents and wheels. Maybe not as tacky as above. Anyone done anything like this??
