40s would fit fine on a JTR with the 3.5" Gamechanger. Whether you would have to upgrade axles, etc., to handle the 40s is another question, though.

I'd call MetalCloak tomorrow by 9am Pacific to read the received part numbers to them for verification. Certain they will quickly address any problem. davetha: now you have a great excuse for taking your time and doing a perfect install. It'll be worth it. Promise.

Here's mine with GC 3.5", Fox Smoothies, and Ridge Grappler 37" tires on Black Rhino Abrams wheels.

Rides perfectly; flexes like crazy; dead quiet; outhandles stock by a mile. Not sure the triangulated rear isn't a solution looking for a problem. Either way, I am more than happy with mine, which is perfectly aligned, and I did not have to weld anything or spend even more.

Thanks. I really like them. Installation is not complicated, but it is time consuming. Figure on a whole day. You have to remove the factory stuff, including the clips, and drill out most of the existing holes a bit for the new hardware. Then, paint the newly exposed metal and wait for drying...
