Also a save the manuals guy here, but my JTRD is not a vehicle I would want a manual with. With a 4500 rpm redline it would just mean constant shifts. The 8 spd really does a nice job and I've never felt that it's not in the right spot or not ready to give me the power I'm desiring.
Plus I...
Saw this on the JL forums:

I'm extremely surprised they would carry the diesel on in the JT with it going away in the JL. The only thing I can imagine is that they wanted to have at least one additional engine option for...
if it's dropped in the Ram AND dropped in the Wrangler there is an absolute 0 percent chance it lives on in the Gladiator. The only reason it's in the Gladiator is because it's already in the Wrangler which was the business case for the engine being launched beyond just the Ram.
if this was just a standard truck then I would say no, being that it's an off roader which is already the hottest rising segment in appreciating cars and diesels have a special love and place in off roaders hearts then yes. This will at least depreciate on a level even slower than what...
None at all for me, but I'm only at 14k miles with it in. It's really heavy duty stuff, I doubt you will have any wear even into the far future with it
Zero regrets for me, just open the drains and hose it out then wipe it up with a microfiber towel and it's brand new no matter how messy it was. Wouldn't be surprised if Jeep partners with armorlite to make it an oem factory option at some point especially since the Bronco has a similar oem...
You are totally right, saw no rubi sticker and no rails and jumped to conclusions, yeah just a strange gladiator on 35's with awful rims. That's one odd rig.
awesome, thanks for the response. They look great on your JT and seem to fit what I'm hoping for, which is mostly stock ride height with some much needed firmness up front. Really interested to see how the TSB suspension fix goes with these as well.
Are the front springs you are using from Clayton the same as the .5" lift JT ones they have listed on their website? They are sku: 1509150 and are 18" with 160 spring rate or are the ones you are using a higher spring rate than that?
Thanks!!
I asked Lisa, the JeepCares person for my TSB case and she didn't see anything changed for the TSB for this. Still waiting to hear back from the dealer if anything is showing up on his end. Is there a chance something with your springs were damaged and that's why they replaced them? If there...
mine does this lately as well, but it was one of those things that when started it works fine so I've just kind of ignored it. Going in for the suspension TSB soon and will have my dealer take a look at it though.
so my dealer only ordered 1 of the 2 front shocks and 1 of the 2 rear shocks.... Hoping to hear how the fix goes for anyone else that gets it done soon.
Two quick driveway snaps with the new 35's on!
35's definitely look good on stock rubicon suspension! Fills up the wheel wells just right in my mind. Maybe just a hint more poke than I'd like with -10 offset SCS K5's, but on the other hand that sloped side vertical profile from the tire to...
Been working with Lisa at JeepCares on this and my dealer just called today to let me know the rear shocks are now in! They were the only part that was unavailable still. So thursday the 12th next week I'll be dropping the Gladiator off for the TSB suspension swap.
I'll take some pictures...
The rear shocks which were the piece missing to get this done has finally arrived at the dealership now. Thursday the 12th is the first day when they have time to get everything swapped over. I'll take some pictures and report back my findings after that :)
Hopefully this is really a fix!
