Super helpful. I really appreciate this. I have been trying to NOT call or email Gupton for this reason. I know they are busy. This information is really helpful. There are a lot of us who have Gupton orders placed, so thanks for the update!
Do you guys know how much that bumper weighs without the bull bar, or how much more it weighs than the stock Mojave bumper? I love it but don't want to hang too much weight off the front end.
For those of you with a 2022 window sticker: does it have a color border? I downloaded mine and it has a green border. My JT is Sarge Green. Can that be only a coincidence? Stingray grey owners might not notice this, but I bet a Snazzberry or Nacho owner would! Very curious.
same story here. I’m in MA, and tried my best to buy a gladiator somewhere nearby. All the 2021 JT’s were overpriced, some of them priced way over MSRP. And I could not find someone to order a 2022 for me much under MSRP. So I turned to this forum, and ordered a 2022 Mojave MT, just the way I...
I’m planning on flying to Nashville and driving the new JT home. I’ve got some ideas about how to really enjoy that trip: Nemo’s tunnel, Great Smokey Mountains among the first.
Me too! I just got my window sticker tonight too, through that cryptotracker. Definitely a good thing. I don’t think it means that it’s shipped necessarily, but the sticker is generated pretty late in the build. We are close!
Here’s an example of how the stock Mojave jumps. Leave it to some Canadians to put the thing in the air. You might want to try this out on your stock Mojave too, and then decide if the stock suspension travel is good enough for your purposes.
Right there with you! Those are the same words the Jeep Chat person used to describe my stage yesterday. I also assumed it means "JB". Fingers crossed that we don't get stuck here waiting for slush mats or whatever may not be available.
Jeep Chat updated me today (12/2) as having "completed initial build, awaiting additional equipment". I am not sure exactly what this means. I was in framing by 11/29. I like to think I am in JB (Body Vendor for Installed Options) but really don't know how to interpret the mysterious language...
For sure. That's where I will be picking up my 22 Mojave. Gupton for the win. And some light wheeling on the way home (Nemo's tunnel etc).
I really thought long and hard about the Rubicon vs Mojave too. Here is an article that opened my eyes to the Mojave...
Oh I really like this idea! Thank you. I’ll keep updating the spreadsheet and see how it plays out. I was told today that I’m in Framing. I updated the sheet with that.
Okay - cool. That makes a lot more sense. Thanks for the correction. I’m happy to learn this; it’s a much shorter trip from Nashville to Springfield, which might get my truck to me a bit sooner!
I also ordered from Gupton and noticed the same thing on my POC. It might be that TN is far enough away from Toledo to require rail shipping, and that Orlando rail serves the SE. So your truck, and mine, would then get a train ride right past TN, and then a truck ride back. ???
It might look like that simply because most Gladiators are built with the automatic. I had the same thought as you, but my build (which is also a manual) has moved pretty quickly. I ordered on 11/6, and was told by my dealer (Daniel Gupton) that the ETA for shipping is December 1. I checked...
Thank you! This is great; I’m going to keep those wheels then! Really appreciate it. I’ll chime in and report back on my MPG. I’m planning on changing from the 33” Wildpeak AT to the 35” Wildpeak AT. It might be interesting to see what that does to MPG - without changing anything else. Thanks...
This is super helpful. Do you know what those stock wheels weigh? I’m pretty sure that these are the wheels coming on my JT (on order). I was thinking about putting 35’s on them but also wondering if it’s okay to put a 12.5” wide tire on these stock wheels, which I think are 7.5” wide. Have you...
DONE: I added my information to the build tracker. I also got the estimated ship date from Daniel Gupton today: December first! He said that this isn't firm yet. This is a really short order to estimated ship date (25 days). Can that be possible? Maybe I'm in the first batch even though I...
